Quick Getaway
Lovely property with gorgeous view of the ocean. Quiet neighborhood tucked up into the hills. It was perfectly located so we could go to Capitola, Santa Cruz, and Aptos beach easily. Eager outdoor kitty who wants to hangout which was fun for my daughter. Complimentary bottle of their estate wine which was excellent.

The great escape
This property is such a hidden gem. Gorgeous view of the ocean, vineyard and treetops. The landscaping is welcoming and I laid on the grass staring up at the sky for a while just enjoying the weather and peace. We used the pool and hot tub both days. They are wonderful. The owners were on site, helpful and kind. They left a complimentary bottle of wine which we enjoyed. We loved the cat that came over to us when we ate on the porch. Pro-tip: Soul Salad is a great spot to eat, we loved it.

Our daughters wedding weekend
Although we didn’t meet Judy, she was a joy to communicate with via email. Her husband Peter was delight to chat with. A lively bedroom , bathroom , kitchenette space with all the amenities you need - and even a bottle of wine to welcome us. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to relax and enjoy the property and the pool as we were out and about at our daughters wedding all weekend. We would love to come back again for a relaxing visit to enjoy the area. THANK YOU!

A Wonderful, Relaxing Stay
My friend and I had a most enjoyable stay. The property is beautiful - pretty landscaping, a thriving small vineyard and an enclosed swimming pool, sauna and spa which helped us feel quite pampered. The view over the ocean in the distance enticed us to have more than one picnic on our verandah. The property is situated close to Capitola and downtown Santa Cruz, yet has a tranquil feel all its own. Judy is the perfect host (available and welcoming yet respectful of our privacy) and the complimentary wine was so good we bought a second bottle (and should have brought home more). Looking forward to a return visit!

Wonderfully Relaxing Retreat
Beautiful quiet clean cottage with all the amenities for a close to home getaway. Our host Judy provided excellent communication down to the step-by-step directions that were super helpful. My husband enjoyed chatting with Judy’s husband, I believe his name was Peter, but for the most part our hosts left us alone and we felt like we had the whole vineyard to ourselves! We loved Beau the cat and seeing bucks and deer casually eating on the grass in front of the porch. The sauna and hot tub were wonderful; however, we found the pool to cold to swim. We later found out it is heated by solar panels so temp is dependent on weather. Totally understandable but a letdown as that the indoor pool was a main factor for me to be able to swim. Next time I will plan on a month with warmer weather. Other than that, I highly recommend Pacific Oaks Vineyard Estate!

My go to serene getaway
This lovely sunny spot is now my go to get away besides Ashland and Mt. Shasta. Nestled at the top of a Redwood mountain with a view of Monterey Bay and a beautiful indoor pool hot tub and sauna practically all to ourselves. And Santa Cruz and all sorts of beautiful beaches are a short drive away! I’ve done this trip with my teenage daughter and this recent one with a girlfriend. It’s always so serene and extraordinarily beautiful. My next stay here might just be a solo Spa, meditation and writing retreat. Love this place. And Judy the host is so down to earth and thoughtful.

More than we expected
My husband and I had a wonderful, quiet and peaceful stay. We loved watching a deer and her fawn grazing with no fear of us being close by as we drank our coffee in the sunroom and later on the deck. We were also able to enjoy the pool and hot tub by ourselves. The stay was perfect and we will be coming back again to stay longer in the future.

For our first vrbo booking, this was excellent! Property was beautiful, private and relaxing. Our room had everything we needed. We got to use the pool and spa whenever we wanted. Judy was a great host. Their wine was amazing and we got a bottle to go. Would definitely recommend this place for a peaceful getaway. Close to beaches, shops and great restaurants!

Lovely spot!
Lovely spot! My 16 yr old daughter and I really enjoyed staying in the Vineyard guest room. We loved the 24 hr p/day access to the indoor pool and hot tub. I especially loved the sauna. And we definitely appreciated the sun porch and the ocean view! And Beau, Judy’s adorable cat adopted my daughter while we were there. Sweet experience. We will be back for sure!

Peter and Judy's home was absolutely perfect for my stay with my daughter for a couple of days while exploring California. The deck and property are so peaceful! We loved watching the deer, the friendly cat Beau, the sauna, and touring the winery and chatting with Peter. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Really enjoyed this beautiful, quiet property which sits above the fog in the Santa Cruz are. Very clean and comfortable room with a full bathroom, and mini kitchen area. Also loved the ability to use the indoor pool. Will definitely come back again! Thanks to Judy for being an amazing host.

We had an amazing time on the property. It was a very relaxing break from daily life and the room and pool house were a real treat. Host gave immaculate directions to property, we still got lost initially so slow down and pay attention. We were greeted by the friendly family cat and saw Deer on arrival! Enjoyed the seclusion. Bedding was crisp but poured a drink into a glass and found the dishware to be a bit dusty. Met the owner briefly. She seemed a very nice lady and promptly left us to enjoy the pool house amenities. Water was freezing! Made use of the sauna and hot tub. Maybe if we rebook in the summer we can swim. Host also sent back a forgotten sweater in no time at all. Over all a relaxing stay and a great way for a couple of adult city kids defrag. Thanks Judy!

The perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
My husband and I had a very relaxing two night stay. The winery was close to restaurants and boutique shops but we spent a lot of time at the property sitting on the porch playing board games or and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

A Little Slice of Heaven
This was the perfect place for a recharging weekend. The room was very nicely appointed and had everything I needed. The pool, sauna, and hot tub were delightful. Great location, a 10 min drive down a gorgeous road to reach town and a few minutes more to the beach. Can't plan a return trip soon enough!

A Picturesque Stay
This property was incredible-- just 15 minutes from the beach and isolated at the same time. The vineyard right outside the home overlooking the bay was breathtaking. The room was comfortable and welcoming. A big selling point for us was having access to the private pool, spa and sauna, which we spent a good amount of time at when we were at the property. The host was welcoming and we would definitely stay here again if we have the chance.

It was Devine. A relaxing time, to say the least. The drive in was gorgeous and the outside decks were amazing. There were deer walking through The yard and the hosts were hospitable. The best part? The indoor pool, spa, & sauna! I lounged out in the deck and got some sun too. Their property wandering sweetheart cat, Beau, made the stay very homey. Close to the beach and amazing hiking trails. I recommend this place for any couple who likes the outdoors. Thanks Judy and Peter!

My fiance and I came here for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary away from all the hustle and bustle that is the bay are. This property did not disappoint. Very clean and quiet, the room came equipped with everything we needed. The grounds around the house were well kept, and both hosts Judy and Peter were both very nice and responsive. The pool house and deck is clean and beautifully designed. Watching a young buck graze across their lawn from the sauna window was probably one of the highlights, along with their amazing kitty that would come to visit while we relaxed on the deck. We can't wait to stay here again.

We (my girlfriend and I) had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Judy's directions to the somewhat secluded place were spot-on. The room was immaculate and equipped with everything we needed, and the grounds and view were spectacular. The pool provided a nice escape from the unbearable heat that weekend. And we chatted with Judy a couple of times. Such a lovely person and gracious host. We definitely want to go there again.

This cottage was delightful! Enormous indoor pool w-attached hot tub was the best aspect of our stay-esp since we were here during the fires raging throughout CA. It’s a little tricky getting here-narrow winding road towards property but worth the trek! Judy the owner is attentive and charming.

Peaceful hideout in the nature
If you want to get away from hassle and bustle of the city life this is the place! The estate is well-maintained and the pool house with a jacuzzi and sauna was definitely a bonus. It’s secluded in the mountain but we didn’t find the location inconvenient or too far to drive back from Carmel or Santa Cruz after all-day outing and having dinner.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The location is gorgeous and peaceful. The place is very clean, and has just what you need. She even provides makings for hot tea and coffee which was much appreciated. The indoor pool and jacuzzi were great. Judy is very sweet and helpful, but gives you your privacy as well. We would stay here again if we are in the area.

Beautiful property with incredible view!
We had a wonderful time! The room was comfortable and clean! Our favorite part was the many places to sit outside including a huge enclosed porch. This was a great place to take in the amazing view of the vineyard and ocean. We will definitely be back!

Homeowners Master Bedroom is right above little guest room
Huge property, beautiful views, expansive home and indoor swimming pool. I was there only to sleep for 2 nights and given all this space and advertised as being quiet, I was unpleasantly, surprised that the Homeowner's were sleeping right on top of me. I felt trapped and did not feel like I had any privacy. You are miles from the nearest town. No breakfast or afternoon wine and cheese in a Vineyard. I felt completely misled and that I had been lied to. It was not worth the money and I did not feel welcome.

I met Ms. Cassedy on her arrival, helped her park, showed her the guest room, visited while she explain her schedule during her visit here. Approximately two hours later she contacted me asking if our bedroom is above the guest room (our home is two stories). I told her yes and she was extremely concerned about the noise during the night that would interrupt her sleep. She was assured that the guest room would be private (with a private entrance), quiet and she would not be disturbed. Unable to accept my assurances she continued on and stated she would have to sleep on the deck or lawn due to the noise she expected, not accepting what I had told her. She also preceded to tell me that I was not friendly on her arrival and our cat was more friendly than me. (our cat is very friendly) She felt I misled guests not disclosing that our master bedroom is above the guest room; I regret that she was anticipating such a negative experience here. There was a complementary bottle of our Estate Pinot Noir in the room for her to enjoy. Before she arrived I sent her a link to a new wonderful market close by to purchase what she may need. My goal is to provide a wonderful vacation experience for each guest. Judy

Me and my hubby were attracted to the beautiful surroundings, privacy, and amenities. The drive was a little intimidating but well worth it! Mother Nature was in force from the wild turkeys, bunnies, and family of deer plus the friendly cat. The view was spectacular! We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and sauna. All to ourselves! Short distance for dining in Capitola and Aptos. Creature comforts were provided to comfy bed and cups, plates, silverware, and TV. Sat at night on the sun porch enjoying the wine and view/peacefulness. Would definitely go back when batteries need recharging.

Absolutely Fabulous
This place most certainly exceeded our expectations. Everything was very clean and had a warm ambiance to it. There was a bottle of red pinot for us to enjoy, and that was most certainly very much appreciated, as well as the coffee and the organic creamer. We had a brief interaction with Judy, and she was very pleasant. Even though the room is part of Judy's home, we certainly did not feel like our privacy was invaded. We utilized the pool, the sauna, and the hot tub, and relaxed on the large patio which has a spectacular view. We drove downtown on Friday morning, that took us about 45 minutes as there was quite a bit of traffic, and the drive to the boardwalk on Saturday morning took over an hour! That was bad timing on our behalf, we didn't leave until about 10ish, we should have left earlier in anticipation of heavy weekend traffic. The only thing that I could suggest (which most definitely is not a deal breaker) is to have a small tub to wash the dishes in. Bottom line, it was a wonderful experience, we thoroughly enjoyed the place and will most definitely come back again.

Peace and Quiet
Well-cared-for property on a hilltop. We stayed in the studio and loved the bed, the porch, the view - just everything! I would recommend robes for the rooms. We didn't use the pool and hot tub because there were no robes but that was just a personal preference. Lovely place, lovely people.

If you are looking for a place to unplug and relax—this is it! There are beautiful views toward the redwoods and ocean. Bo, the cat, greeted us when we arrived and hung out with us on the porch. Deer, turkeys, and bunnies, wandered by. There was even a banana slug on the lawn one morning. The pool house is incredible. It is an amazing place to swim. It’s worth braving the chilly water(heated by solar) for a unique swimming experience. The hot tub is warm and relaxing. The room is nicely appointed and the bed was comfortable. Our cell phones did not work at the house, but it does have wi-fi. The road up is a little daunting at first, but Judy gives excellent directions. It is a quick trip down the hill to Highway 1 to get to Capitola, Santa Cruz, Moss Landing (whale watching), Elkhorn Slough (otters), and the redwood state parks.

Location is excellent! The room is very comfortable and the pool and sauna are wonderful. Hosts are great folks. The bottle of their boutique wine was very nice. Only one drawback the site is difficult to find during the day but even more difficult after dark when returning from dinner. We shall return in the future!!
