5* star property in a 5* location with 5* hosts
The villa is nestled in a secluded spot on the Maremma hillside. If you want peace and quiet, this is where you’ll find it. There are forests, ridges, valleys and provincial villages to explore (not to mention the mountain-top ruins of the 19th century community founded by self-proclaimed prophet David Lazzaretti!) or you could just spend your time by the pool soaking up the views. When the night draws in, wrap yourself in a blanket and sit on the terrace watching the stars or light the fire, curl up on the sofa and whack on Netflix. Marco and Marta, too, are wonderful people. After our holiday plans abruptly changed they were unbelievably kind in helping us out. Genuinely, you couldn’t want for better or more generous hosts. So, book. Book now. But not all of you, because we’d quite like to go back ourselves sometime 😊

Wonderful stay in a great location
Everything was perfect regarding this property. The house was extremely well looked-after and everything was provided for a very comfortable stay. The pool and gardens were beautiful and the views across the valley were lovely. Marco and Marta were incredibly welcoming and helpful and their recommendations during the stay were very useful. Would definitely recommend this property.

Memorable Italian Experience
Marco and Marta are exceptional hosts and the rustic Tuscan farmhouse is absolutely breathtaking! We started the family vacation in Rome and then traveled to Tuscany and spent 7 nights in the secluded farmhouse atop the mountain. The views from the house are picturesque and the location in Tuscany is 1-2 hours from major cities (e.g Rome, Florence, Pisa, Siena). The house is more spectacular in person and it accommodated our family of seven without a problem. Marco and Marta helped us with local recommendations, checked on the house every couple of days and even researched the most convenient location to take COVID 19 tests in Siena. I would recommend this rustic farmhouse and you will be absolutely blown away by the experience. Steven, Melissa Ossinger and Family

Lovely holiday
Lovely holiday in Arcidosso. Marco and Marta met us in the town square to guide us to the house which was essential - we would never have found it up several kilometres of winding roads - but it was so beautiful when we arrived. We spent days relaxing in the garden, the children went swimming (with wetsuits) then warmed up on the paving in the sun. Day trips to Siena and the thermal springs at Saturnia were also brilliant. Thank you for a lovely holiday!

Two perfect weeks at Podere Le Faggiaie
Since October 2020 we have been looking forward to this vacation and with every week the excitement grew and grew. We were in no way disappointed, EVERYTHING is exactly the same (even better) than on the pictures. Our expectations were more than exceeded. We love the charming, multi-generational and with attention to detail furnishings. Also the garden with the old trees, the beautiful flowers and the breathtaking location is impressive. We also appreciated the many different seating options and chose them individually for each weather condition. Especially the morning coffee on the bench facing the sun was the perfect start to the day. After each trip we were happy to return "home". We would especially like to highlight the warm, welcoming, caring, helpful and whole-hearted hospitality, right from the very first contact. We really appreciate it. We can recommend this house to 100% and will definitely come back again.

Excellent Mountain getaway
The location of the property is ideal for anyone who wants a beautiful, peaceful and tranquil getaway. We had a great time even though the weather was very unseasonal. Marco and Martha were brilliant hosts and even purchased bus tickets and dropped us off at the bus station they were faultless hosts. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to return.

The most wonderful stay
We had the most wonderful stay in the house of Marco and Marta. The weather in Tuscany in November might be somewhat challenging with quite a lot of rain, but we really enjoyed it. And with days of autumn sun and the cosy stone house with the open fire, the stay was very warm and delightful. We did trips to Montepulciano, Siena and the vineyard Campinuovi, but also did just walks in the country side and to the villages neighbouring the house. The views are amazing! The pool might, due to the season, not be the most used one in the world but we did good use of it and did some skinny dipping. But please do not tell anyone. The lovely Marta and Marco were the best of hosts and made our stay even better. Their warm welcome, how they embraced us as guests, their quick response and their guidance to Tuscany are just the very best. They do have a very warm place in our heart!

A refuge surrounded by nature
An exceptional home ,in a stellar private location, away from the maddening crowd.. We loved our 2 week stay , we explored the local area and made regular trips to the more recognized areas of Tuscany. Marta and Marco were the nicest people, caring and generous. They were quickly responsive to any requests. We were so impressed with their boundless energy and creativity and look forward to following their newest adventures. We highly recommend this beautiful, private home.in a natural setting close to many wonderful sights and restaurants, especially la locanda del prete, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Beautiful stay in idyllic setting
We had an amazing time in this beautiful peaceful place. The house is gorgeous, and retains all the character of an old Tuscan farmhouse, whilst having all modern conveniences you might need. It stays cool inside even on very hot days. The gardens are huge and you have absolute peace in the middle of the countryside with stunning views. We saw deer, wild boar and a porcupine in the neighbouring field and countryside! The pool area is lovely and very welcome on hot days. Marco and Marta are brilliant, very kind and welcoming. They met us in Arcidosso and showed us up to the property; showed us around the local potato festival (amazing, go if you get the chance) and brought us their own grown tomatoes and figs. Would recommend this lovely villa.

Tuscan Paradise
The owners initially met us in Arcidosso to show us how to get to the villa, which was up a beautiful tree-lined road overlooking Monte Amiata. When we arrived at the villa we found that it looked even better than in the photographs and the view was absolutely breathtaking! The grounds are well taken care of with gorgeous flowers, Hydrangeas in a variety of colours, roses and lavender to name but a few. The lavender plants were constantly visited by lots of wonderful butterflies and bees. The villa comes very well equipped, the beds are comfortable and the owners go above and beyond to ensure that everything is there to help entertain the children and adults alike. We found that the villa was more spacious than we expected it to be from the pictures and enjoyed gathering on the sofas at the end of a long day in the sun. The kitchen is also well equipped and contains everything you could need to create a range of meals. The nearest supermarket is in Arcidosso, which is a 10 minute drive down the hill from the villa and everything you need can be purchased from here. If you want more range then the bigger shops can be found in Grosseto. The owners ensured that we had their contact details and encouraged us to contact them if we needed anything. When we arranged a day trip on the train to Roma they helped us find somewhere to park and Marco even took us to the station! The owners also came every few days to water the garden and ensure that the pool was clean. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough, especially if you are looking for a quiet, tranquil and beautiful piece of paradise. There are so many areas to sit or laze in around the grounds, hammock, chair swing, seating areas and loungers. We all enjoyed playing table tennis, boules and badminton, which are all provided. There are also so many creatures to watch as you sit in the sun, such as the lizards who play on the walls in the sun and the occasional brightly coloured beetle. We were also mesmerized by the fireflies at night as they fluttered around the villa. Being in the hills it did not get quite as hot as nearby areas and there was a welcome freshness to the air. It was still very hot but it made lying in the sun a lot more bearable. We had gone to the region to visit a variety of vineyards and to sample the local cuisine but in the end we sampled neither as we much preferred to spend each day in this little slice of paradise! I would thoroughly recommend this villa.
