About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Charming 1-Bedroom Cabin on Duck Lake

Wolf Trail Cabin is a modern timber frame cabin located on the shore of Duck Lake on Blackfeet homeland near Babb. Located just 15 minutes from Glacier National Park, it is an ideal spot to relax and unwind after a day of hiking or sightseeing.  You'll have the entire cabin to yourself, including a deck, fenced yard, fire pit, access to the lake, and off-street parking.   There is plenty to do in the area, so stay three nights or stay a week!

This 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin sleeps up to 6 with a queen size sofa sleeper and 2 twin beds in the loft. The large bedroom offers a comfy queen bed, dresser and closet. The bathroom has a tub/shower and large vanity.  There is a fully equipped kitchen and high-top dining table which seats 4. The living area also has a counter with two stools, gas fireplace, air conditioning, large flat screen TV (including Direct TV Stream, Hulu, Disney+, Apple TV, and Netflix), sofa, and armchair. The outdoor space includes a shaded deck, fire pit, lake access, and parking.

High speed Wi-Fi and a cell phone booster (Verizon service only) allow you to stay in touch with friends and family. If you must work while you’re on vacation, there’s no better spot than at the dining room table with its incredible vista. Fair warning, however, you may get distracted by all the songbirds and waterfowl that visit the area and the ever-changing high-country skies.
This cabin is easily accessible off Montana Highway 464 with about 1.5 miles of well-maintained unpaved road to travel.  The quiet rural neighborhood of Duck Lake is a little less quiet during summer months. Many houses and cabins are located on small parcels of land all around the lake. These consist of year round residents, summer residents, and short term rentals. There is a well-maintained, unpaved road circling the lake.  There is no public transportation here, so you'll have to drive your own vehicle to our home. We have a large off-street parking area just outside the cabin.

We are an Indigenous family and look forward to welcoming you to our home in Blackfeet Country. If you’d like to know more about the Piikuni homeland and culture, we are happy to share our knowledge with you and can recommend Indigenous-owned businesses and activities which will enhance your understanding of Native people today. Our home is also filled with books about Indigenous history, culture, and food.

Your hostess, a former Park Ranger in Glacier and Yellowstone, is a great resource for planning your Montana adventure. She knows both national parks and the entire state of Montana inside and out. We’d love to enrich your Montana travel experience with our knowledge of, and passion for, this special place.
