Beautiful, Peaceful Retreat
This is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The views of the river are so soothing, and the neighborhood deliciously quiet. The owners were responsive & helpful when we ran into an internet problem. Kitchen is minimal but I didn't go there to cook ;-) We had fun exploring the nearby towns (Bath and Washington) and the wildlife reserves, but the best part was just sitting on the deck and breathing.

Perfect get away
This house is big enough for the family. Its location offers amazing views. There is a local state park not to far that was enjoyable for trail walking. Not too far from the house is a neighboring town with a cute downtown area and great restaurants!

Wonderful time at Ada's Camp
We had a great time at Ada's Camp! It was everything we had hoped for and just as it is listed. It was perfect for the whole family. My 87 year old mother could enjoy the views of the river from the sunroom and the deck. The kids went swimming, paddling boarding, and kayaking from the dock. We were able to bring our boat which added to the fun. The best part was the incredible sunset views! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us. We'll be back!

As Delightful As We Expected
All of those 5 star reviews did not lie! Charming home right on the water - stunning lake views from the sunroom and 2 bedrooms! Comfy beds, master bed and bath very spacious (nice closet in the master bath where we stored our suitcases). Plenty of dresser drawer space. We ladies spent most of our time on the couch of the sunroom in front of large glass windows while the guys fished. Very close to the Quarterdeck Marina, and plenty of space to park our boat trailer across from the house. Please note there is NO dishwasher - but plenty of dishes and pots and pans. A very short walk to the dock from the house (not always the case for lakefront homes) and only a small incline. Loved walking our dog in the very quiet neighborhood with very little traffic. Paved roads all the way. If you forget something at the grocery store, the Dollar General is only a few miles down the road. The property manager provided excellent, very complete info and we had no issues. We expected not so strong internet, but streaming presented no issues at all. An idyllic vacation!!!

Beautiful cottage and location!
We had a wonderful time at Ada's Camp. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful sunsets off the deck or sunroom. We enjoyed crabbing, kayaking, and swimming in the creek. Great place to enjoy your family and all the outdoor recreation this place has to offer.

Second Times A Charm
This was our second time visiting Ada's Camp and everything was just as we remember. We had a great time fishing and crabbing. Our Boxer Bella Loves to watch us out the Sunroom windows while we fish and still stay cool. The neighbors are so friendly and the neighborhood is so quite. The Dolphins came down the Creek every day and one night we saw Deer feeding in the lot across the street. Just a relaxing and peaceful week.

Wonderful Waterfront Property
Ada's Camp is great! We enjoyed the water and the house. It's convenient to Bath and being right on the water allows for fishing, boating, and just enjoying the beautiful sunset. Perfect for a family retreat!

Absolutely perfect
What a beautiful home! The location is perfect as well. Our family only stayed 3 nights , but wish we could have stayed forever! The home has everything you could possibly need. The fishing was also great , we caught spots , mullet, trout, croaker and plenty of blue crab. The owner was always just a message away and more than happy to answer any questions we had. The home was clean and very well decorated. We will definitely be back !

This hidden gem was perfect for a long weekend getaway! The listing is exactly as stated and has all things needed, with a touch of extras! The homeowners really go above and beyond to ensure your stay is just like being at home! We spent every waking minute on the dock and enjoying the outdoors! We caught 10 crabs, tons of spots and croaker, as well as a striped bass. We enjoyed Blackbeards tavern and the country grill while visiting…both were great and true southern hospitality! We woke to beautiful sunrises and breath taking sunsets! We will definitely book again!….and soon!

Ada's cabin is exactly as described. The setting is perfect for relaxing. Hubby had a great time fishing off the dock. I had a great time watching birds, dolphins, and sipping a beverage. Plan to return!

Just had a wonderful experience at Ada's Camp. The house is lovely! Very clean and the outdoors were perfect for fishing and crabbing! A little off he beaten path for groceries so make sure you plan your meals. My family and I had a great time.

Amazing week
The easiest booking experience I’ve ever had. Cindy was available and quick to respond if I needed her. The house is the perfect size and location for a small family to unplug and relax. Days spent fishing and enjoying the water with a boat rental nearby (wake2wake). People in town were very welcoming and the overall experience was one I’ll never forget. One of the absolute best vacations of my life. Highly recommend

We enjoyed having the water in the back yard and amenities. We brought our own fishing rods but there were some there along with several sized kid and adult life jackets. There was lots of decor and knick knacks around the house which was enticing to the kids, and we had to redirect them from playing with all of the statues and sand/shells. Otherwise, very kid friendly and some toys/activities were provided to the kids. No dishwasher which we expected, but we also found that we had to wash some of the dishes first before using as previous guests must not have cleaned them well when hand washing. Many kitchen tools, pans/pots, and utensils available for cooking, which was very convenient. The drawers seemed a bit disorganized from previous renters. Overall, check in and check out was very easy and it was perfect for our weekend getaway with friends to enjoy time together. Would recommend!

Much needed get a way!
We needed to get away from the City for awhile and Ada's did not disappoint! Cindy was very helpful and the house was everything we needed. We fished and crabbed every day from the pier and caught an array of fish. The neighborhood is so quite and the people friendly. We brought our food after reading previous reviews but there is a Grill right up the street and Washington is not that far away. To be honest we were enjoying the peace and quite so much.... we didn't go anywhere. Thank You Again Cindy.

This house is wonderful! The location, the amenities, the view! We had a great time fishing, crabbing and just relaxing! Our Shihtzu loved crabbing! He loved checking the pot with me 🦀🐾 He is used to smaller crabs on the beach 😂 that we live near. I love the decor and the house was super clean, quiet neighborhood. Best family reunion ever!
We seriously can't say enough good things about this rental. It was low-key, beautiful, and perfect for the young and old! We fished, crabbed and kayaked off the pier and sat and watched the sunsets while sipping on wine or gin and tonics! We reconnected with family and simply chilled! We are so thankful!

Going back in time
Having grown up on the Pamlico River (about 10 miles upriver from Ada's Camp), it was like going back in time. Great location. Terrific views of creek, river and historic Bath. Friendly neighborhood. Cottage is perfect for small family group. Has everything you need for short stays. Only drawback is grocery store, restaurants (for night out) aren't conveniently nearby, require trip to Washington or Belhaven.

Great Getaway on the Water
Great, scenic and relaxing location. Sunsets over the creek were amazing. We had some uncharacteristically warm weather in December so spent a lot of time on the dock. Caught a few red drum and netted some mullet.The jetted tub in the master bath was a nice touch for the adults and kids. WiFi signal isn't strong so don't count on your internet or streaming services working like you're used to. Very close to Bath which has a few stores for necessities and a restaurant or two (depending on seasons and holidays) but 20 minutes from all the stores, restaurants and shops you need in Washington. We'll definitely try to come back during warmer weather to take full advantage of the outdoors.

The house was clean and comfortable. A lovely little Christmas tree greeted us from the front window and everything got better from there. The decor could be described as a hunting cabin yet the overall comfort it provided rivals some of the best homes we have stayed in.

Ada’s Cabin is a comfortable homey one right on the lake. The views are lovely and so relaxing. Our family joined us just for our early Thanksgiving meal. All ages enjoyed it. The one glaring drawback was the lack of a dishwasher!
