Just perfect!
Beautiful hotel in the perfect location. The recent addition of a beach and new pool area makes this the perfect hotel for a quite family holiday. The rooms are spotless. The staff are great with a special mention for Giacomo (maître d') who greeted us by name each morning. Will definitely visit again.

Every thing is outstanding.. the negative part: they dont have iron and pressing table in the room, they dont provide also, for safety reasons! Justification has no meaning… all hotels in the world dose!!

This hotel is massive, much bigger than I anticipated. It’s a gorgeous place with both interior and exterior pool. The lawn is a very nice place to sun bathe and the pool is slightly chilled which makes for a refreshing dip. The gym downstairs is huge and well equipped (is available for an extra charge). The beach is a bit limited but we were able to go for a dip off the dock. I believe they’re working on the beach. The breakfast was great and the service was excellent. Overall, we had a really nice stay.

What a mess , really felt cheated
This is the second time that Hotel Dino was available to book but few days bevor the come back with other hotel recommendations out of there group. Last time it was Hotel Splendid and it was not as good as Dino but ok. This time it was terrible. Hotel Bristol is Outdated, not at the see, and the first offers room where not in the main building. I told them that this is not fair. But they refused to give a cashback / refund. This hotel is not fair priced. My conclusion is that they try to get bookings on Hotel Dino and then to relocate to Hotel out of there Group. It feels like trapped. Grand Hotel Dino sent you a message: Good afternoon, According to your reservation, unfortunately due to the current situation we are not in conditions to reopen our Grand Hotel Dino. The current reservations …… really a few at the moment ……. The grandeur and lavish furnishings are a treat and warm the heart. You should feel you are being well cared for, breakfast is a delight of wonderful abundance overlooking Lake Maggiore and the Boromean islands from the Grand dining room. Artwork adorns the walls, stained glass domed ceilings are awe-inspiring as are the amazing spacious areas all around the hotel with thick bright carpets and dazzling huge chandeliers - spoil yourself.

Wrong room on check in. Air conditioning dripped in room and maintenance had to be called twice to fix. Argued at check out over breakfast charges which we did not partake in, and in frustration to catch a train, ended up paying.

Grand Hotel but not much else.
Grand hotel Gino sounds and looks as described. Room was good and clean and in keeping with the hotels theme. Bed was comfortable but pillows were hard and unforgiving and very flat.two pillows would have been nice or something a little bit more plush. Food hall was good but the food was not up to standard for this grade of hotel and expensive. Had much better in much cheaper hotels. Overall facilities were good but we left feeling disappointed.

Beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Maggiore.
Although it is a huge complex, it was quiet and didn't feel busy even though there were numerous tour buses parked out front. Our room was spacious with a balcony overlooking the lake. Lovely bathroom with great shower and big towels. The grounds and swimming pools were perfect with plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. I appreciated that when we were lounging outside, they never tried to sell us drinks/food like other resorts. Close to wonderful restaurants in Baveno. Would definitely stay here again.

Both pools where very nice and refreshing. The room was spacious and roomy for my wife and I and our 7 year old son. The breakfast was okay but over priced. The dinner at the restaurant on the patio was good but the bottles of wine where also over priced. But if I ever need a relaxing place to stay before flying out of Milan I will probably staying here again.

Ricky decorated, conveniently located hotel.
What a beautifully decorated hotel. We had a veranda with a view of the beautiful pool and the lake. Service was excellent. The outdoor pool water was very coool but the indoor pool water was nice and warm. It gives a feeling of luxury. The covered walkway between this hotel and the Simplon is not to be missed. We where at the hotel with a tour and extended our stay. The staff cheerfully arranged for us to have the same room.

Loved the hotel and location. Amazing views and dinner at the restaurant was delicious. They charge extra for parking per night and for use of the gym and sauna which was not ideal.

Dino was a great hotel. The staff made it their business to make sure you were happy. They were happy and their happiness came through into everything they did. We actually extended our stay because it was such a great hotel.

Clients are treated like Cattle, not even goodbye!
The staff are so busy, they do not have time for much customer service. The check-in was very rushed, we thought that it was because they were busy; however on check-out it came across as rude. One lady started checking me out, then started talking to another guest and left me standing there, another member of staff carried on with the card transaction - with not even a hello and then left my receipt and card on the counter and walked off, not even a goodbye?! Clients are treated like cattle!

Best hotel we have ever stayed in. Stunning views if you book Lake views. Only faults were no coffee making facilities in room and bar and restaurant very expensive but only to be expected at a hotel of this standard. Would definatley stay here again.

Our return trip to Hotel Dino
My wife and I first visited Grand Hotel Dino several years ago on a tour, and the beautiful images remained with us. We decided to return this July and it was everything we remembered and much more. The hotel is spectacular and the scenery is as well. Hopefully on our next trip up north we will bring our entire family including our grandchildren. We know that they, too, will just love it.

Too big for its own good
Grand Hotel Dino is all about scale - how to get hundreds of tourists in and out. The service inevitably suffers. The rooms are small, but fine. The hotel has all the amenities one could wish for, but Lake Maggiore should be enjoyed in a relaxing atmosphere, and it's difficult amidst all the hustle of the hotel. Also, watch out for extras not included, including parking and a fairly expensive breakfast.

Beautiful hotel on Lake Maggiorre
Grand Hotel Dino is a beautiful resort, nestled on the shore of Lake Maggiorre with great views of the lake and mountains. Close to the ferry ramp for easy access to the Borromean Islands, which afford a glimpse into the lifestyle of the rich and famous of long-ago, in the form of an exquisite palace and gardens. The hotel is a wonderful resort with too many amenities to name. It is an extremely serene place, and was a great way to start our Italian vacation.

good experience.We did not eat there as we felt it was too expensive for us but there were good restaurants very near for breakfast and an evening meal.we enjoyed the terrace and lounge/bar overlooking the lake. Hotel rather like an upmarket transit camp with so many guests booking in and out everyday. I would recommend it to friends but I thought it expensive. maybe the other guests had bargain deals. Staff on reception were very friendly in particular a young lady called Marguerite and Pamela.

The Fitz is like putting on the Ritz!
We've been to Dublin several times. The Fitzwilliam was by far the best hotel. When we arrived (with jet lag) we took a walk around St. Stephen's Green which was directly across from the hotel, and the jet lag just seemed to disappear :) Great hotel, great location and great price. This is our go-to hotel in Dublin.
