Perfect ski retreat!
Located directly across the highway from Big Sky Ski Resort, this cozy log cabin was perfect for our ski vacation. You can actually see the ski slopes from the front and side windows of the cabin, and get motivated in the morning. My husband and I stayed there a few weeks back, and found the cabin spacious for the two of us, tastefully decorated, and very cozy. I was concerned about it being warm enough, but shouldn't have been - it had radiant heat and I woke up about every night almost TOO warm under the blankets on the bed. The cabin had plenty of appliances and pots/pans/etc. in the kitchen for us to cook breakfast every morning, including a coffee grinder! The bed was comfy. I will note that there were soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower - but they were totally empty. This wasn't a problem as we had brought shampoo/soap, but just seems like false advertising. Not sure why even have the dispensers if they aren't going to be filled. Other than that, perfect!

Convenient. Lovely views
pros: -convenient location - just a few minute drive to mountain village -beautiful mountain views from every window -full kitchen with multiple appliances as well as washer/dryer -communication with hosts was smooth and straightforward cons: -couch was uncomfortable. sunk nearly to the floor when sitting. the pull out bed was much more comfortable -bathroom was in the furthest point of the house from the entrance and was quite outdated -had to turn the heater up near 80 degrees at night to hear the upstairs bedroom. i will say it was a colder few evenings when we stayed (~5-10 degrees) but it became very chilly overnight. -also, (this is not a requirement by any means). but there was almost a foot of snow that we had to hike through in order to get the snow shovel so we could shovel the small walkway to the door overall, this a good unit without any frills or extras. i would say it was worth the price per night

Cute Cabin with great views
Cabin is very nice. It has a perfect view of Lone Peak. It's lacking some updates in the bathroom, but it's clean and everything was in working order. We didn't cook, but they have everything you would need. There is no handrail on the stairway for some reason and you need two hands to lock the front door when you leave bc it doesn't close all the way so you have to pull it closed & then lock it. I am sensitive to smells and every night the smell of cigarettes came into the bedroom and kept waking me up, but that might not bother everyone. Overall, we had a nice stay.

It's great to hear that the cabin was clean and well-equipped for cooking. However, it's unfortunate that there were some issues with the bathroom updates and the handrail on the stairway. Additionally, the difficulty in locking the front door and the smell of cigarettes in the bedroom were definite drawbacks. It's good to know that these issues didn't completely overshadow your stay, and that you were still able to enjoy your time there overall. We will let our team know your feedback. Wonderful cabin
Loved staying at this cute, comfy cabin with great views and easy access to Big Sky resort. Both upstairs bed and sofa bed were comfy, kitchen well stocked with cutlery/sharp knives etc. excellent lighting. Very nice, friendly owner who lives up the hill. Would definitely stay here again when skiing Big Sky.

The property was very close to the slopes. The house was great except the issue with the shower. Needs to be cleaned better. The self in the cabinet was broken were the pots and pans where. Other than that we had an amazing vacation. Would rent again! Received lots of snow which was great. Definitely need 4 wheel drive.

Great view
Had difficulties regulating temperature in the unit. No hand rail on stairway. People driving up and down driveway daily. Otherwise the view is wonderful.

Great location!
We were really happy with the location of this adorable cabin. Very convenient to the mountain, and a beautiful view of Lone Peak. The driveway is steep and it snowed, so we were thankful to have snow tires. The cleanliness of the bedroom in particular was disappointing. It seems like the cleaning staff cut a lot of corners, including a recently stained and unwashed quilt folded at the end of the bed, as well as a broken mirror propped up in the bathroom. The property manager was very responsive when we reached out about these issues, which we appreciated, but it definitely left a poor taste in our mouth in regards to the cleanliness of the cabin. With a deep clean and refreshed linens, this place would definitely be 5 stars.

Great place to stay! Cozy and close to everything. We will be back. The only con would be the steep driveway. Slid down it backwards twice (not cool) in an AWD Subaru. Not sure if there is parking for more than one car.

The kitchen & living room area was very nice, full of amenities. The upstairs was not so great. The sloping roof over the bed was worrisome of a bumped head. The fitted sheets did not fit. One corner of the sheet was off & could not be tucked back in. Additionally the shower did not drain well so you end up showering with two inches of dirty water cover your feet.

A nice get away
The cabin was well located and dog friendly. We were able to go to the resort in a few minutes. However, we did want to get in at 2 pm and could not until 4pm. And check out was an early 10 am. Also only one towel was provided for the 3 of us. No condiments such as salt or oil was provided in the house so I had to buy everything I needed to cook with. Also, the cabin was quite cold and the heat didn't seem to kick in. It was cozy and nice but I think the price is a bit high for what they are offering. It also is located at the bottom of a driveway of another house, and doesn't really have an outside space to hang out on.

beautiful cabin and location. well equipped kitchen and nice to have a washer and dryer. big sky is booming and tons of new construction. lived in bozeman in 1967 and have visited the gallatin canyon the past 30 years or so-- not much is the same except the mountains. amazing dinner at lone mountain ranch.

This property was perfect for my husband, myself and our dog. We enjoyed the beautiful view, location and peaceful neighborhood. It was clean, had everything we needed to cook, and did I mention the view!!! We also enjoyed the regular grey fox visit everyday! Cozy cabin!
This is the perfect, quaint cabin for a ski trip. It is warm & cozy and has everything you need. The bed is comfortable. It is a 1 min drive to the free ski parking lots. The property owner is very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed the stay and want to come back!

The cabin was nice and in a nice location. However, I was unaware it was on the property with a larger house that was up for sale. The top floor roof has a slant in it above the bed and bathroom... being over 6 ft tall caused me to hit my head a few times especially when using the toilet. The outside garbage can is bear proof, and not all bear proof garbage cans are the same. It took a few attempts to get it open.

It was perfect, very clean, great view of Lone Peak from downstairs and upstairs. Easy in and out, easy to get to the slopes, literally a 5 minute drive to the upper skier lot to access the skier shuttle.

Nicest Cabin Ever!
Spent a late summer week here. The cabin is a cozy beautiful home. Excellent views of Lone Peak and the surrounding Big Sky Resort. Within walking distance to hiking trails. Enjoyed grilling out on the patio and watching wildlife in the morning. On our list again for winter.

Super cute cabin perfect for a couple or a very small family. Right across from the Big Sky Ski resort. Only drawback is if you are visiting in the summer, there is no AC. It was a little warm in the afternoon, but we open the windows and it was not really that bad. Would definitely come back again!
