Hey TIffany glad you liked your stay. Yeah the single queen rooms without the kitchens are a little tight. We try to keep them at a value price to make up for it. I have held off on remodeling the single queens to come up with a way to build some features in to maximize the comfort for our guest with two occupants in a single queen. Definitely one more goal to achieve to keep making this improve for the guests. Next ask for Andy and I look into a free upgrade to a larger foot print room so you have some perspective on out other options.

I'm having a hard time believing this review is legitimately submitted by Caleb and not his troubled uncle/employee ( aka "helper we befriended apparently') who checked in with him for the week. Because the picture being portrayed in this review is exactly the opposite how the real Caleb was treated. We went out of our way to help Caleb who needed some assistance in the middle of the night whose "helper" was having an alcohol fueled aggressive argument with Caleb about work. Suggesting we somehow violated security by giving his registered guest a key when he locked himself out the day before this event doesn't pass the logic test. Moreover we stood by Caleb in his time of need and at his request we called the police to help make sure his uncle would be able to calm down and go to sleep. In the last 24 months we have never had to call the police to my motel. This is a chill family roadside motel sanctuary. Did we get mad or evict them for causing a disturbance? no. Quite the opposite, we asked for Calebs guidance on the best way to gently resolve things. We even drove to the local 24/7 mini mart to get his uncle water and food to help him sober up and some sleeping pills to help him sleep. Caleb wanted to leave and we told him wed be happy to cancel the rest of the reservation and let him check out, but he couldn't just leave his uncle in the room as his uncle wasn't the one who booked the room and his uncle was the one having alcohol and behavioral problems. We even said to Caleb his is welcome to stay if he wants us to have his uncle removed. Caleb and his uncle left the motel several days early without telling us and apparently elected to avoid reducing the number of days and receive a refund as courtesy from us. So its odd that we received this review when we dug deep in our efforts to help. If this truly is Caleb we recommend you call us so we can understand why there is such a disconnect here. If anything we would have expected a 5 star review for taking such a personal stake in helping you navigate your family crisis. More importantly we are happy to provide the prorated refund as we would with any of our valued guests who actually notify us they have an unexpected change in plans and need to leave early. And we are happy to offer this courtesy despite this unwarranted negative review. But you have to call us. This is just so puzzling and bizarre.Regretfully,Andyowner

Hey Kevin. Sorry to hear about some of the issue you had. Thanks for the feedback we strive to improve every day. If you plans bring back through Brevard, give us a call and we'll see if we can match you up with a renovated room.The televisions have been mostly upgraded to 4K flatscreens with Firestick or Roku. The Firestick uses the Comporium cable TV app for all the cable channels and HBO. That was listed in the envelope with your key. You are also able to log into your preferred streaming channels you subscribe to at home. Perhaps we can do a better job of socializing that. The soaps and shampoos and conditioner should be in every room and sometimes are on a shelf behind the bathroom door. In the rare cases we have forgotten to replace them, we have extras in the common area lockers and just need a phone call to tell you where they are if we are not on site to bring them to you. With regard to the bedding, the first thing I did when I purchased the motel in 2020 was replace all mattresses with high end foam mattresses with cool-gel toppers. Generally speaking that has been a positive experience for most. As for updating, we are taking a deliberate and slow approach having only updated about 30% of the rooms so far. WE want to be sure we are on target with a fun new look and we don't want to have to double room prices to pay for a 500,000 upgrade :-). If you happened to miss one of those I can see how it would feel a little dated.Best regardsAndy S.owner

Hey Gene we look forward to your next stay. Apologies about the internet. Our local cable provider turned off all the cable TV permanently in Brevard last month without notifying people properly. We have been scrambling to roll out wifi streaming television and we think it has exposed some areas we need to improve as all the streaming TV absorbs our bandwidth at times. Lets get you in a room with more space next time or even one of our newly renovated rooms if available. We strive to improve every day.
