Hotel Fegali is strategically located next to the main tourist spots of Cartagena. If you are like me and feel tired of standardized, reproducible hotel chains with no essence of the city, this is the place to be.

The property was overall disappointing. Too expensive for the old somewhat run down condition of the hotel. Breakfast was very basic, and options seemed to depend on whether the person working the front desk at the time felt like asking how you wanted eggs cooked, or preferences on fruit. One front desk person was very helpful, another seemed disgruntled. Would not stay there again. Seems like the readings were manipulated as the hotel's condition did not match expectations based on what the readings were.

It is a small, but has the home feeling. Staff is very courteous and helpful. It is very closed to many major landmarks, as well as food options. Room is big enough for a family of 3. Simple breakfast is included.

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. As a solo woman traveller, I felt very safe at all times. The room was clean and the air conditioning was great. The breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus. The hotel is located in an excellent area - just a few minutes walk to a major plaza with street food and vibrant atmosphere. The hotel was quiet and I slept well for the three nights I was there. The staff were really nice, too. I’d stay here again for sure.

Excellent front desk service, willing to assist in any request. In comfortable walking distance to the walled old city of Cartagena as well as the best sights in Getsemene. Lovely and inexpensive.

Good location, a short walk to the old town. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay too. But to call it a 'boutique' is a stretch. The room could use some upkeeping and upgrading. It smelled musty. The shower door was flimsy and wouldn't fully close, which makes it a potential hazard. Overall it was an ok experience but would not return.

I do NOT recommend at all!
Photos do not represent the reality. First night I had to kill two cockroaches. Next day they change me to a room smelling mold. I rented a room for 7 days but I left after 3 days. First time in my life I left a hotel. Place is in very bad shape and I do not recommend

Mr. Daniel, first of all I apologize for your inconvenience at the establishment. I inform you about the smell of mold we have tried in many ways to eliminate it but the environment and historical and colonial place does not help much. They are walls with a thickness of about 50 centimeters, the vast majority of hotels in the sector have that in common. We use machines such as ozonator and anti-humidity to reduce. About the vichos from time to time they slip into us, if I walk in the sector at night, you will have seen many of them walking on the platforms and at least carelessly enter the establishments. Affirmation of the above is that we do not find small ones, only large ones that are sometimes flying. I recommend you for the next opportunity, choosing a place near the beach is a very different environment from the historical, old and colonial. Jorge Fegali

The property was small but nice. Staff was great, nice, and attentive. Breakfast was great. We were fed fruit, OJ, coffee, and eggs, ham sandwich, or something the like daily. Very safe as gates are kept locked at all times. Our only complaint was the loudness of other guesses.

Covers the basics well.

Well located, comfortable bed, basic, no windows
Dont be confused by boutique in its name, there is nothing boutique about it. It has a good location, next to good restaurants and bars. The bed was very comfortable and it was clean. However the rooms have no outside windows so once has to use ac, the rooms has everything but is very basic and so is the breakfast. I was reminded to wear a mask and check out on time, I saw other guests without masks so I wonder why me. A solid 3 star hotel.

Excellent location for exploring Cartagena
Friendly management and excellent location for exploring the city. The street is a bit noisy, but thankfully quieted down after 10ish. We tried the breakfast one day and then decided to just skip it as food in Colombia is so cheap that it is better to just seek out something more interesting and pay a little.

I'm sorry, but when you called, you gave the name of Jorge Mejía, to which I answered that there was no reservation for that day with that name, if you had given the name of the person who reserved, rest assured that this inconvenience would not have happened. Also in the reservation it says that the entrance is at 3 pm. You, He wrote before 2 in the afternoon. In any case, he is apologized for the misunderstanding.

Cartagena Hotel Fegali Art Boutique review
This is an amazing place to stay at a great price. It is a cosy hotel so the rooms are not huge but they are big enough and the location is great. The road next to it can be noisy but if you are staying in the walled city the whole place is noisy so we did not find it a distraction when trying to sleep. Each morning you get a simple home cooked breakfast which tastes fantastic. Always sets you up for the day - please pass on my thanks to the staff for this! The restaurants next to the hotel for food in the evening are also excellent. I’d highly recommend this hotel.

Convenient and comfortable stay
The location was great - inside the historic walled city. Walking distance from the main attractions. Jorge was a wonderful host, very helpful and friendly. A small and simple hotel offering a comfortable stay.

The owners of Hotel Fegali made our stay comfortable. We had two large clean rooms with flat screen TVs and welcome candy on the beds! The location was great... In the middle of everything we wanted to see. When my son suddenly woke up with a sore throat, they quickly acted to give him water with salt, honey and lemon juice! We felt like we were staying in a home, not a hotel. We highly recommend this small hotel.

Great location and friendly hosts
Comfortable place to stay in a great location, walking distance to all the sites in Cartagena. The area is very safe and plenty of good food and bars all around. My room was clean with good aircon and the breakfast was nice. The husband and wife who run the place are very gracious hosts.

Felt like home!
The accommodations at Hotel Fegali was very nice. The decor is vintage with many art pieces. We had a private room with a private bathroom that was clean. The AC worked well and we enjoyed complimentary breakfast in the morning. It was a great price and was exactly what we were looking for.

THE LOCATION WAS GREAT. OWNER DID HIS BEST TO HELP US. THE ROOMS ARE PRETTY SMALL, SMALL BATHROOM. OUR ROOM WAS EXTREAMLY NOISY FROM TRAFFIC. Lastima no informo oportunamente su inconformidad. 1-lo hubiéramos cambiado para una habitación interna y 2- en todas las habitaciones hay varias salidas de luz, es posible que no este tan visible pero un simple pregunta le hubiera evitado incomodidad. Friendly hosts, clean rooms, great location, delicious breakfast. However, there was construction going on at the rear of the building that started very early in the morning and continued through the day. I wish the hosts would have moved me to room towards the front off the building after my complaint. Also want to point out that you will have to ring the doorbell (late at night) for the hosts to open the front entrance gate. Felt strange.

Warm and welcoming staff in a great area
the staff were so warm and welcoming, offering local area suggestions, and a solid breakfast that changed daily. The location turned out to be better than expected, just a 5 min walk to the old town walls, and less than that from the Getsemani centre. The air conditioning and the shower were strong, so no complaints for the cost.

Charming Boutique Hotel
This place is absolutely charming so are the hosts, Jorge and Grace. Very considerate and very caring, recommended nearby eating places, recommended activities and they were all as described.. Excellent location just 5 minutes walk to the Old Town. I would recommend this boutique hotel to anyone.

Nicest Hosts you'll ever meet!
I only had a chance to stay one night but had a very nice experience. The hosts are fantastic, very warm and welcoming and taking care of anything you need. I stored my luggage with them for several days, they received jewelry for me before I arrived. Absolutely trustworthy. Will definitely stay again if I have a chance

Safe, Clean and Friendly
4.5 Overall.... Service and Cleanliness were excellent. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Comfort and Condition were satisfactory. Minor shower floor issue (specific to one room) and lobby / kitchen were a bit warm to enjoy without sitting under a fan. Proximity to Local area was solid. Well within walking distance to most Old Town attractions. Cheap taxis also run just outside hotel 24hrs. Great restaurant around the corner (La Cocina de Pepina) not to be missed. Would stay again.
