Convenient stay very very close walk to the airport. Says laundry on their website, they have laundry service and you"ll get it next day but no laundry room for one self to do. Other than that check in was at 4pm not 3pm. Had a little trouble with their wifi connection and TV did not work. Overall not bad stay for being close to airport!!!!

Overall was comfortable. Wifi did not work in our rooms and we later discovered it only seemed to work in the patio area. Breakfast was good. It was quiet to sleep and air conditioning worked well.

good option near the airport
we went from and to the airport walking (with big suitcases, bags and a baby!) and it was ok! the people were friendly all the time. wifi ok. breakfast could be better. there was no hot water in the shower...

Beware: No Hot Water and Poor Service
Beware: there was no hot water during our stay and several other guests we spoke with had little to no water at all. I'd like to give the benefit of the doubt, but strongly believe the hotel staff were instructed to play games with the water situation. When we arrived in the afternoon, we told the evening/night clerk there was no hot water. He claimed various things, including that it was broken, that it had been shut off and didn't know how to turn it back on, and that the water really wasn't that cold anyway (which it was). He finally said the morning staff could fix it (of course, they too said they didn't know how but would call someone).After we repeatedly asked about the water and threatened not to pay our bill, that person arrived at 11 am (right while we were checking out) and apparently did switch it on. So, it appears the hotel intentionally turned it off and told staff to stall in trying to fix/turn it back on. Yes, the hotel is close to the airport (it's best feature) but for only a short cab ride and less than $10 more per night, we had much better accommodations in the heart of the old city. Seriously think twice about staying here and/or try the water as soon as you arrive and begin complaining immediately if it's not working.

great, convenient location
Nice and close to the airport so you can walk there. There is a park nearby that you can walk or jog at night that is safe and well lit as it is used by its citizens. We took a transport to Barranquilla and the location was perfect to get out to the highway. I would rate it higher except that we had our room in the second level requiring carrying luggage using a winding and narrow stair with 13 steps. Not for those with mobility issues.

Too much noise!
My room was near the entrance and the noise and talking would not allow me to sleep. I initially thought it was the guest. But, at night and earl3in the morning it was actually the staff. I would think that at least the staff would make an attempt to lower their voices at night at during the early morning...no!!! I have stayed at Mucura before this last stay was horrible for me and I'm a deep sleeper. I'm very disappointed as I like the properties convenience to the airport.

Our room was next to the front desk so it was slightly louder Room AC was ok but why have a open vent in the bathroom? I dread going to the bathroom because it was so hot! The room service food was nasty and dry! The breakfast was ok and the staffs were friendly. I only booked this spot because it was close to the airport.

Mucura is an excellent small, neighborhood hotel. It has the feel of a B&B really; the staff is friendly and accessible at all times, ready to answer questions about activities and attractions to visit. If you happen to be out of local cash or your taxi driver doesn't have change, they'll happily loan you some and add it to your tab. No interest, no complications. The rooms are adequate, not huge. The beds are top of the line, firm, soft. Cleanliness if faultless. Make your reserv early enough and request room 12; it has a large hammock that not only fits two, you could throw a party on it! Only negative, the chef can’t make an omelet; just order overeasy or scrambled.

Great hotel near airport
Our flight arrived late (midnight) and this was so conveniently located near the Airport even though our taxi driver did not know how to get there (it's literally a few blocks from the airport) there was 24 hour front desk staff who helped the taxi driver locate the hotel. Free simple breakfast and the staff made us some food even after showing up at the end of breakfast around 10 am. Most comfortable bed during our stay in Cartagena (we stayed in 3 places!)

Staff was friendly, location good and room nice & comfortable. Mucuea would receive hugher marks if their next door neighbor’s hound dog would stop barking incessantly. That is super annoying and ruins their otherwise great ambience.

2-day stay
I stayed 2 days and no problems. the room was small and cozy and clean. the bed was comfy. the wifi worked well. Very close to beach. The only thing is that there is sometimes loud noise (talking from guests/staff)walking down the hallway to their rooms. My room was right behind reception. At night there was no problem with noise. also for security reception had to keep locking and unlocking the gate entrance. this is quite annoying if you need to leave or return to the property quickly. taxi ride from this hotel to centro historic will cost between $7-$10 mil pesos (about $3 us dollars).

Great hotel. Great value.
I stayed at Múcura at the end of a two week trip to Colombia and I need a place to stay close to the airport. The neighborhood appeared safe, the staff was welcoming and warm and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. I recommend for anyone needing a place close to the airport in Cartagena.

The most comfortable bed we've slept in all trip!! A little out of the central part of Cartagena (10 mins in a taxi to old town), but a great hotel in a quiet neighbourhood.

Sergio nuestro desayuno cumple con el Standar tipo americano, lamentamos si te gusta comer cantidades mas grandes fuera del Standar, en la habitación que te hospedaste con tu acompañante el aire funciona muy bien y jamás te quejaste al respecto, de hecho cuando hiciste check out afirmaste que quedaste satisfecho con todo.
