I’m not a fussy person when it comes to budget accommodation, but I disliked my stay in this hotel so much that I cancelled a planned second night here and moved to another hotel. The main issue was a really foul smell as soon as I entered the room. A kind of mouldy, stale, “off” smell, and it was everywhere; in the air, on she sheets and the pillowcases. After one night here my hair had this smell. Not pleasant. The condition of the room was so poor: the bed sheets and pillow cases were stained, the bathroom floor was wet and the sink, toilet and mirror were all stained and dirty. Service was ok, efficient and not unfriendly. The area around the hotel didn’t seem too nice but the location is good for being close to the pier, just a short car ride away, and this was our main reason for booking the hotel. Price was also low.
