“The property itself was incredibly quiet and on one side of a cobbled stable area. Every morning and evening, the owner's three elderly horses were led to and from the nearby field and we could often see the horse looking over his stable door from our bedroom window - the pony and Shetland pony weren't tall enough to look over! We saw several deer and hares near the cottage on the grounds. The cottage is in the grounds of Spital House; it was initially hard to find from the directions and maps...
