The fridge smelt of fish and not sure if this was the issue or the damp and mould on some of the walls.The beds were not super comfy but fine for a few nights. “Friendly staff, nice breakfast, unfortunately no hot water for the whole weekend. Staff kept saying it was repaired but that wasn't the case. The weekend, was cold and wet so no hot shower was pretty grim.”

“Mandy rang us to ask what time we would expect to be there on the day, then met us as we parked up. Mandy was very friendly and warm. There were fresh cakes and coffee/tea when you are in the reception, you help yourself. Everything was spotless. The room was amazing, under floor heating in the bathroom was a treat. The bed was so comfy. The breakfast was perfect, the french toast was epic, you won't need lunch, the portion was a great size. I would recommend the home made granola, delicious.……

“Clean and comfortable - what more do you want. Good food on site so you don't need to go out if you don't want. Ideal location for exploring this part of Northumberland with the coast, Bamburgh, Alnwick, Berwick etc fairly close. Easy to find, being right on the A1, but traffic noise was minimal and not a problem. I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.”
