“Spent spring break here with our kids - 9 and 12 - and dog. Cabin was perfect - our kids didnt want to leave. Nice main room to eat and play games or lounge on the couches, then each had own room for down time. Easy drive to town for meals and just minutes from Ski Brule - we caught the last weekend. Great views of Stanley lake from the house. We would come back here every season of the year, it would be great to enjoy the lake too when its warm.”

“Was there for a quick weekend trip in the area. The host was friendly, the location was quiet, and the lake is beautiful. The host offers use of a Sauna if requested. The location is right next to an ATV/Snowmobile trail if this is something you are looking to do. The host lives on the property, but you likely will not notice them as they keep to themselves. Would stay again.”

“The home looks over beautiful Sunset Lake. You cannot beat the views from the deck. A perfect place to have your morning coffee. Plenty of room for our family. The owner was quick to respond to all our questions. We were in town for a funeral, but will definitely stay here again under better circumstances.”

“We experienced an awesome 8 night stay at this cabin, which is quite cozy and had everything we needed. The location is superb, on the Michigamme River, and with many small, beautiful lakes within a very short drive. We fished as much as possible during the week, and host Ken was most gracious with recommendations and maps to various nearby lakes and rivers for us to try. “Roose’s Roost was the perfect cabin for our Fall trip. I wanted to see fall foliage and we didn’t even need to leave the camp for that. The yard was great size for the dogs to run around. We didn’t make it to Chris’ suggested hike to the sandy beach because of rain but maybe next year. The cabin was great, exactly what we needed. Thank you to Chris and Pam! Maybe we’ll see you next year!”

“Carrie was very quick with responding to any inquiries. Very accommodating as well. We had a small family vacation to their cabin and it was perfect for us. The kids had so much fun jumping off the dock into the water. The lake was nice and sandy and clean. The campfire area was right outside the lower level, which made it convenient when the kids went to bed. Thanks Carrie for being so flexible with our stay!”

“Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Lake was gorgeous and so fun. We had young kids and the beach is perfect for kids to wade in the water as well as fish off the dock. There is a huge bass under the dock so bring your bass fishing gear!”

“My family had a wonderful time at Ron's log cabin. It is very much secluded and relaxing. We brought our 2 dogs and they loved it. We spent time fishing, kayaking, and hanging out on the beautiful porch. It was a great time!”

“We booked this for my husband's 40th birthday. The location was perfect! Beautiful views from the porch. We loved relaxing in the swimspa. It was wonderful on a cold night. We cant wait to come back in the summer to enjoy the river more. Hosts were always available and check in was a breeze”

“This property would seem to work better for families with small children. We were a 'all adult' group and the bedrooms were very small. No closets for storage. In the upstairs bathroom, i noticed dirt in the corners next to the heat register. The dryer and dishwasher running at the same time would trigger the circuit breaker to go off. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and supplies. Maybe a door on the downstairs bedroom and laundry room. Jim & Gilda Chie”
