"Cabin was very cozy and comfortable. Lake was gorgeous and so fun. We had young kids and the beach is perfect for kids to wade in the water as well as fish off the dock. There is a huge bass under the dock so bring your bass fishing gear!"

"Cute cottage exactly as described. We had a nice stay. Beautiful wildlife, multiple deer in grass and by lake throughout the stay, fished on the lake a little, lake is a bit buggy. Would recommend bringing firewood and lawn chairs for fire. We rented a boat on the chain and had a blast."

"Love everything about our stay, this was our second year there and we are booked again for this summer! On the water, beach, all amenities you would want, plus bar with music (certain nights) on-site."

"Spent spring break here with our kids - 9 and 12 - and dog. Cabin was perfect - our kids didnt want to leave. Nice main room to eat and play games or lounge on the couches, then each had own room for down time. Easy drive to town for meals and just minutes from Ski Brule - we caught the last weekend. Great views of Stanley lake from the house. We would come back here every season of the year, it would be great to enjoy the lake too when its warm."

"Great location for ice fishing and snowmobile riding. Up North Lodge restaurant/bar is only minutes away with a great menu selection.We rented two cabins which were perfect for our party of 8. Kitchens are a bit small, but have everything you need for cooking meals. Host was great to work with."

"We loved our New Years weekend stay! Snowmobile trails were unfortunately closed so we did spend more time inside than expected- there was plenty of room for 4 adults to hang out; the cottage “lives” bigger than it looks in the photos. We walked to local bars/restaurants which was very convenient. And the cottage is also a stone’s throw from the snowmobile trail which will be awesome for next time. Well-appointed and comfortable- highly recommend!"

"We experienced an awesome 8 night stay at this cabin, which is quite cozy and had everything we needed. The location is superb, on the Michigamme River, and with many small, beautiful lakes within a very short drive. We fished as much as possible during the week, and host Ken was most gracious with recommendations and maps to various nearby lakes and rivers for us to try. We were able to catch pike, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, and bluegill. We brought our own kayaks, but as noted,...

"Roose’s Roost was the perfect cabin for our Fall trip. I wanted to see fall foliage and we didn’t even need to leave the camp for that. The yard was great size for the dogs to run around. We didn’t make it to Chris’ suggested hike to the sandy beach because of rain but maybe next year. The cabin was great, exactly what we needed. Thank you to Chris and Pam! Maybe we’ll see you next year!"

"This is the second time we've stayed at this cottage and it was as enjoyable this year as it was last. Cottage is clean and cozy. For us, it is perfect. I almost hate sharing as I'd hate for it to become so busy we don't get it next time we can sneak away."
