“Upon arrival we noticed the yard had not been mowed. Once we entered the house we discovered that the back door was left open. Touring the house we noticed the locked supply closed was left open and windows cleaner left in the living room..After all that our stay was nice.”

Perfect size for a couple with a few kids, or a few friends just out to have fun ad explore all the great little restaurants, breweries, distilleries, beaches and the many quaint little towns all along the coast of S.W. “The cottage is charmingly vintage but still quite comfortable. The hosts include thoughtful touches like spices, toiletries, fishing rods, laundry soap, etc., that aren't necessary certainly but that make for a welcoming stay. Donnell Lake is a quite busy little lake and wasn't our favorite for our quiet little paddleboards and sailboat, but we were also there over Labor Day, so it's probably not always quiet so busy. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying at the cottage, though. The...

Lawless park is right next door, wonderful trails for all! We would love to stay again, we certainly did not want to leave!”

“My husband and I had a very relaxing time at this historical cabin. It was perfect for what we needed and we slept really good. There was an issue with the shower head and when letting them know, they were right on it and the issue was resolved. We will come back the next time we visit family. I would highly recommend this place to stay.”

“This place had everything we needed- Cindy was very gracious and made us feel welcome. Was great to be able to walk to all the restaurants and shopping. We use VRBO regularly, and this was one of the cleanest places we’ve ever stayed. One caveat- it is an older home, so not a great choice if someone in your group has mobility issues.”

“Beautiful cottage, very comfy beds, lots of sand for kids to play in…paddle boards, kayaks, and inflatables provided…LOVED the decor and the towels/linens were very cute! This cottage had everything we needed and wanted! (The only note I have is if you have toddlers, a gate might be helpful with the stairs - mine kept trying to climb, haha). Thanks Lauren!!”

“Fabulous time. Many water accessories offered which made it very enjoyable for our kiddos. Bring your fishing poles!! One of my kiddos pulled out 28 fish just from the dock! Super quiet back on the channel. Kitchen fully stocked and very clean! Downsides : No washclothes for showers. Bring your own. No ladder to climb out of water onto dock. No chairs at firepit. NO DATA and very weak wifi. Other than the few downsides which are minor other than the wifi it is a fabulous house and location....
