Toilet was a rocking chair and beer caps on the floor beside the bed from previous guest. All the issues with this stay I was pleasantly surprised on how comfortable the bed was. Not very much for a breakfast option but they had something! "

"The A/C was not on the day we checked in and it was close to 100 outside. Once we turned A/C it seemed to now really cool very well. Set temp to 60 and the room stay at like 77 or so for most of the rest of the day. It finally cooled off well into the night and then it turned ice cold. "

The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. Our room was quiet and clean, and we slept well. The hotel is old enough that the room doors are those old heavy fire doors and very solid-a huge plus!!

"Our stay at The Carter House was very comfortable! The house was very clean and had all the kitchen amenities needed. We loved the location as it was a 5 min walk to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again when in the area."
"Charming older home professionally remodeled and decorated with antiques to keep its original history. It had everything we needed. The free passes to the museum across the street were such a great compliment to our trip and understanding the history of the area. We will be back for future stays in Gillette WY."
