Phenomenal 3-bedroom cabin at Base of Big Horns

Phenomenal 3-bedroom cabin at Base of Big Horns

8/10 Good
"We really enjoyed our time exploring the area and appreciated having a cabin that could accommodate our group of nine. The location was convenient for exploring, although it is fairly remote—about 6 miles from the nearest amenities—so we quickly learned that it was best to make sure we had all of our groceries/supplies before heading back to the cabin. For a group of nine staying for a week, the sleeping arrangements worked, although we did bring an air mattress for the kids. There were two bathrooms with two toilets, which was helpful, but there was only one shower/bathtub. With nine people getting ready each morning and coming back from full days of exploring, having just one shower was a bit challenging. The bathtub could also use some fresh caulking. The cabin itself could have felt a little more welcoming and fresh when we arrived. It seemed as though it may not have been occupied or thoroughly cleaned for a few weeks, so a little extra attention before guests arrive would have made a big difference and helped the cabin feel more inviting. We also noticed that there were quite a few personal items belonging to the owner throughout the cabin. While we understand that some personal items may be necessary, having fewer items visible would have made the space feel more like a dedicated guest rental.Overall, we appreciated having a place to stay while exploring the area, and the cabin provided a good home base for our trip."

"Chad was such an accommodating and responsive host, truly one of the best. We had a wedding near town, and he moved the RV closer to the wedding location and helped get us set up with everything we needed. He went above and beyond to take care of us. The welcome basket with all the goodies was the cherry on top. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay, Chad!"

Suite 2 at Deer Haven Lodge - Spacious Suite with Two Queen Beds

Suite 2 at Deer Haven Lodge - Spacious Suite with Two Queen Beds

8/10 Good
"Love the hot water. When looking at where the suite was located it said it was 5 miles away from the lodge but in reality it was right in front of the lodges for the hotel room cabin. I was actually quite happy about that! I would have preferred more towels for 4 people rather than two but I packed some for the lakes around the area. It was rustic and cozy. The bathroom door didn’t shut well from swelling of the wood and there was spider webs and typical wear and tear. Bedding was clean and bathroom. Fridge was a bit dirty and freezer. I had coolers but would have liked to put some things in the fridge. I was told there was WiFi on vrbo but when asking about it. I got told it was down. And come to find out it wasn’t and was just password locked. For spending 500 dollars for 2 nights I think it could have been cleaner."
