Ladies Trip
This home is CLEAN, welcoming, and was perfect for our getaway. Our party of five women felt very comfortable. It was extremely hot while we were there, and didn’t get the chance to sit around the fire pit. Instead, we enjoyed morning coffee looking at the beautiful lake. Michelle, the host, is extremely kind and friendly. Perfect location to visit wineries and coastal towns.

Summer Vacation
We were looking for a relaxing summer vacation and this fit the bill. The house was lovely- well- maintained and clean It was in a great location- easy to get to Saugatuck, Douglass and South Haven.

Beautiful relaxing getaway
We had a girls weekend and baby shower and it was wonderful! The host was great on communication and so friendly! We over the location, and spent our days kayaking, paddleboarding, cooking dinners in the modern kitchen and relaxing in big down comforters at night It was a wonderful quiet getaway and we will definitely be going back!

Wonderful home in a perfect location!
Our family of 6 had a wonderful time visiting this beautiful home and the area. Mike and the neighbors were very kind and welcoming. The home had everything that we needed and was so clean. The lake was perfect for fishing, swimming, & kayaking. We loved exploring the area & there was so much to do & see within minutes. We would love to return again in the future!

Great house for our mom/kid weekend! Kitchen was well stocked as we made most meals at home. Kids loved access to the dock and the coffee table fireplace was perfect for quick s'mores. House was clean, updated and enough spaces and beds for everyone!

Wonderful house on great inland lake near Saugatuck/Lake Michigan
My husband and I had a wonderful 5 night stay over Memorial Day weekend. The house was very nicely updated, clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were great - very communicative and friendly as well as all the neighbors on the lake. We especially enjoyed morning walks around the lake, sitting on the front patio and enjoying the beautiful lake view and kayaking around the lake. The Saugatuck / Fennville area has so much to offer - cute towns, great restaurants, breweries/wineries and beautiful Lake Michigan beaches within 15 mins. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The fam had such a nice stay on Hutchins Lake! The house is so lovely, one of the best VRBOs we've tried. Great amount of space for our group, easy check in/out, kind owner, amazing sunrise views, house is well stocked. We made the trip to Timber Ridge (about 30 min) and did some skiing. Good kiddie ski school program and not a bad drive. Thank you for such wonderful memories!

Lake front property
We had a lovely stay on Fennville Lake. The home is lovely, clean, modern and well appointed, and worked well for our family of 6. The property owner was friendly and very quick to reply to any of my questions. The view of the lake was very pretty, and delightful to wake up to every morning.

Fabulous Stay!!!
We were a family of mom/dad, adult son/girlfriend, adult daughter, and adult daughter/boyfriend. This was our first family trip in a couple of years. The house was the perfect place for us to stay, as there was plenty of space for both togetherness as well as privacy. The bedroom situation worked well for us. Mom/Dad in master bedroom on first floor. Kids all upstairs amongst the various beds. We were all very comfortable! The first thing we noticed was how clean the home was, and how true to the photographs shown online. You always hope that "what you see is what you get" and this place is exactly as pictured. I would venture to say that it is even better!!! The home was renovated a few years ago and is both stylish and welcoming. We loved the fact that we could all fit around the dining room table for breakfast and for games at night. We also loved the fire pit table on the front porch, where we did some lunches and dinners overlooking the lake. Great place to catch some shade, as the trees out front are huge, lush and gorgeous. The lake. Oh where to start.... Clean. Warm. Peaceful. Active. We went into town a couple of times but couldn't wait to get back to the lake. We made GREAT use of the two kayaks that come with the house. They were rarely out of use. We had also brought along some floats/noodles from the dollar store, so everyone had something to float on. The dock is SO nice. Made of trex-like material, it did not get hot or have splinters. We spent a lot of time out on that dock. Half on chairs, half in the water, all having a blast. The owners of the rental were available to us all weekend, as they have a place on the lake too. Such nice people. We met a bunch of the neighbors as well. It's a very friendly community. Even got to see some of the resident eagles in flight! The sunsets on the lake are not to be missed. We walked down the lane to the public beach every evening to get the best views. Apparently the sunrises were incredible as well, but I was too busy enjoying the comfy bed to go take a look. To sum it all up-we are SO glad we rented this lovely home. We will absolutely return next summer. Our entire group of 7 agreed this was a trip to remember!

Amazing
I was there for a mini gateway with friends, this place has a amazing view of the lake. Very well keep and had enough space for 6 people. It’s exactly how its showed on the pictures. Mike will responded very quickly with any questions or concerns. Cant wait to return back this summer.

Loved our stay
They have done some great improvements to this property to make it a memorable stay. We had everything we needed for our two adult sons and us to have a relaxing time, especially enjoying the front patio and water. You can take great walks in the morning and evening plus nice small swimming area down the road (or go straight off the dock!). Sunrises were beautiful on the lake, and we looked forward to our morning kayak trips. We especially enjoyed the North Beach area in South Haven (25 minutes) plus the local wineries, restaurants and blueberries in and around Saugatuck (about 20 minutes but some just around the corner)...and most of all, the Tastee Treat for ice cream in Fennville! You can also rent waverunners and pontoon boats on Lake Michigan. All in all, a great stay, and we want to come back!

Super charming place!
It was a great place! Super charming area. All the neighbors are very nice! The lake is quiet. Super easy aces to everything from the house. Wish we had a boat, we just brought lots of inflatables for the kids instead and we had a blast! Would recommend to anyone!

Coming Home
I grew up on Hutchins Lake but moved away 35 years ago. This was my first time coming back and renting a place to stay. Of course it had to be special. I can not say enough about this property! From the minute we walked in the door and wandered around the house, I knew we had picked the right house to rent. Everything was well equipped from the kitchen to the bathrooms. All the beds were very comfortable and even with 6 people staying, we never felt cramped. The view through the two large sliding glass doors on the house overlooking the lake was spectacular. Nothing about this location was disappointing! Even the neighbors(my old friends) were super friendly! The minute we arrived, Mike texted me to make sure all was in good order and made sure that we did not need anything. Never experienced that from a VRBO owner before!! I highly recommend this property and am very jealous of whoever is staying here this week! Thank you so much for sharing your home!

Lake Living At It's Best!
I've rented many properties in the area but this is my new favorite. This newly restored lake house is immaculately clean with everything new and tastefully appointed. The hosts were very communicative throughout the process of renting the home and recommendations on where to go in the area. The pictures do not do justice to the property and the views of the lake from the living and bedroom spaces. We enjoyed paddling in the lake to a sandbar and soaking in the last days of summer. Love the ability the grill and dine outside looking out at the lake as well as having a winery close enough to walk to. Nearby Fenville has a good market for groceries and Salt of the Earth has a great menu and bar. We look forward to renting this property next time we visit Southwest Michigan.

Nicely decorated, very clean place. Ample room for all. Great fishing, including just off the dock (several nice bass!). The owners Joel and Mike are very nice and great to work with. Neighbors are friendly and quiet. We will definitely be back!

Mike was very easy to work with. Close to Saugatuck and Douglas. Great location directly across from the lake. Loved the outdoor fire pit. Had the weather been warmer, we would have made great use of the kayaks and paddleboat.

Great Getaway
We had a great time! Mike and Joel were super easy to work with and very friendly. When we arrived they brought over some beach towels and sand toys for our toddlers to play with. House was great, beautifully decorated, view was beautiful and neighbors were friendly. Only 2 minor things: Bathtub was very slippery for our toddlers but the adults didn't have any issues. Kitchen was fully stocked, but there was not a griddle which made pancakes hard to cook for a group. Next time, we'll just bring our own. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Mike and Joel for a great stay!

Living that lakehouse life...
You can't beat the sunrise/sunset views from this Hutchins Lake house! Not to mention the fantastic decor & accommodations, and the owner was readily available for any questions. What a perfect place to spend a holiday weekend with family, it is definitely on our list to return!

Relaxing, comfortable, and awesome view
We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. We have stayed in several others in Michigan in the last few years but this one was especially cozy. It looks like everything has been recently updated with great style. It was easy to kick back and relax. We watched it snow out the picture windows and the winter view of the lake was just gorgeous. We definitely want to stay there again in summer or maybe fall.

Great Lakefront Property!
Our group of four adults had a great weekend at the lake house. The kitchen is awesome and stocked with everything you need to do some serious cooking, there is plenty of living room and dining room space and seating, and the bedrooms and bathrooms were all really nice. Even in winter the lake views are beautiful. We definitely plan to come back this summer!

Beautiful Lake House , Amazing Lake View!
We had a great time during our stay at the Lake House! Everything in the house has been remodeled and is stylishly decorated. I loved being able to look out at the lake through every window in the dining and living rooms as well as both of the bedrooms upstairs. We had a group of 6 adults and were very comfortable with the sleeping and living space. There is definitely room in the house to sleep more, especially if you have kids. The house is located in a quaint town that surprisingly has a wonderful upscale restaurant. Salt of the Earth. Thanks to information & recommendations provided by the owners, we had fun exploring nearby towns ( Saugutuck & Douglas ). I can't wait to come back in the warm weather, sit outside on the patio and take advantage of the lake, as well as the number of wineries in the area. :) I would highly recommend staying at this property!
