The hotel was great, I was happy with location, room, and parking. Only complaint was our day of checkout (we stayed one night and checked out on Sunday). The coffee in the lobby was empty and the front desk person wasn't exactly nice about asking it to get refilled. We then realized there was a small breakfast in the Tavern. We sat down to have coffee and were told we could go to the buffet. This was very small and basically a continental breakfast with some scarmbled eggs and bacon. Our food was not good (one of use couldn't even eat it), nor was our coffee. Then we got the bill and were shocked that the price was $25 per person. We live in Maine and understand tourist areas, but that was expensive for the food we had access to and I think folks should be aware of that. We could have walked to a coffee shop had we known.

We were off season by a week, so the Village of Freeport was mostly closed, however the Inn was open. The staff was accommodating, the main lobby was warm and friendly and the Tavern served excellent food. It was also a block before the Village started and 2 or 3 blocks from LL Bean.

The property was under construction and had limited dinning. Having not been informed prior to booking was not appropriate. I would say that I have stayed at much better places; The price is rather high compared to more luxurious stays at other establishments. However, the staff was very good. I would give them 10 Stars.

Property is going through renovations since new owners took over from the Grey family. Room was very comfortable as it has been in previous visits. Broad Arrow menu has changed but a fire took out their grille a week ago so hopefully menu will be better in the future. Staff as always been very helpful!

This hotel has gone down quite a bit over the last 2 years as it has been sold to a hotel group from the family that ran it so well for so many years.  The prices have gone up over the years to what was a ridiculous price of 760 dollars a night with no improvements in the facility and worsening of the restaurant services.  The restaurant recently improved but the facility is getting rather tired and remains in the same condition it has been in for the last 40 years
