At the time of check-in the staff members was rude he told me that I needed to speak loudly,being who I am & it was late I was tired from my 6hr drive & I don't indulge in confrontation so I apologized for having a soft voice,checked in & moved along, during my stay I overhead & witness that same staff member being rude to other guests (ladies)as well. I picked up one bag of chips & two sodas & was charged $10 which was insane I was for sure under the impression that at least for the cost of my stay chips & a drink would've been complimentary, the bathroom shower in my room was horrible the shower was nasty with mold & mildew to the point I showered with the lights off, I felt so nasty & couldn't wait to get out of there the only reason I stayed was because my stay was non-refundable I'm happy my stay is over.

I have stayed in a lot of hotels, and the Spark was clean, Bright, and the Staff was very friendly. My wife and I said we would stay there again.

Let’s start with the good: 1. Customer service was great. The issue we had that I’ll touch on later was handled very quickly and with a lot of understanding. Always friendly and always welcoming. 2. The “breakfast” is bagels which were good. Wish there was more options but we did eat them and they did suffice as a breakfast (thankfully none of us are gluten intolerant otherwise we’d have been disappointed) 3. Close to a lot of convenient places like Target, Starbucks, gas station, food etc 4. Clean! (Except in the nooks and crannies (aka tops of the mirrors etc) Now for the not so good: 1. This hotel does not have the quiet-close doors so expect to hear a TON of door slamming. Like. A ton. Like wake you up out of a dead sleep if any neighbors come back while you’re sleeping ton. The walls are thin which makes this a serious issue and one of the reasons we ended up moving to a different floor. Which was v inconvenient 2. Loud. As mentioned w/ the doors and walls, you can hear everything going on on your floor as well as the cars outside (the hotel is located right next to a main road) we were there a night the hotel was sold out so it was particularly disruptive 3. Beds are hard as rocks. Every morning we woke up in pain. Just a warning for those who sleep on softer mattresses/foam mattresses etc 4. Towels for the body are TINY. Expect to use many and not to be able to wrap around your body 5. There’s a small concession area with food that is severely marked up

Manager Barack Sam and staff were exceptional. Was in town for my dad’s funeral, Mr. Sam was so kind to me on so many levels. I really appreciate all he did for me. The staff were very helpful and polite. Very nice rooms.

Staff was very kind and helped when asked. The room had multiple issues from remotes not working, irons not working, and handicap rail caps not secured. There was multiple sports teams there, and staff let teams run rampant through the halls through 1AM. I understand they bring in money, but it was unsupervised 8yr olds screaming and riding elevators up and down. Sirens from the location went throughout the night, and lots of dark spots with people walking around at night right where you need to park. Breakfast was disappointing with only bagels and yogurt.

Super glad I found this place for our stay while stopping and spending a couple days in DC! Ron at the front was amazing our two days here. Rooms were super clean, quiet and comfortable. Lots of food choices and shopping in a 2 mile radius. Would definitely recommend!

Staff was very hospitable! One down side was 1 of the staff members said my room number loudly while another patron was standing there. For safety purposes that is something that is not supposed to happen. Outside of that my stay was good. Breakfast options could do with a switch up though.
