"We were here as a family for a celebration of my mom's life. She grew up in Noirmoutier. The house was everything we expected. Spacious, a well stocked kitchen, clean. The seating areas outside were wonderful. There are bike paths nearby that help you explore the island safely. Screens on the windows were awesome as mosquitos can be a problem on the island. This is a must if you like to sleep with a breeze. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We would stay there again."

"The suite is very comfortable. Front & back entrances make for good access to your car and of course to the beach. One negative aspect was the need to rent bed linens & towels for a hefty fee which we were informed of only after the deadline to be able to cancel. Also there is an expensive housekeeping fee imposed unless you do the cleaning yourself."

"Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances ! La location était très propre, bien équipée, fonctionnelle, et surtout parfaitement bien située pour profiter de la plage. Les 2 seuls points négatifs étaient qu'il n'y avait aucun fond de placard, donc obligés d'acheter de l'huile, du sel... Et nous avions remarqué une odeur de remontées d'égouts dans la salle de bain, mais heureusement on pouvait aérer. Nous reviendrons une prochaine fois avec grand plaisir !"

"Everything was perfect at La Chaize. This was our third time and the reception still took time to explain about access, breakfast and all that we needed to know to get the best from the hotel. The Gentleman on reception took us to our room, which was at the rear of the main hotel building. He explained the features of the room such as the jacuzzi, electric velux window, etc. The room (41) was immaculate and well decorated. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool and sauna. Breakfast is charged extra, but is well worth paying for because there is an excellent choice of quality items to choose. Finally, all the staff are friendly and helpful, in particular reception who give advice on where to go and where to eat."

The property was generally very clean but there were some stains on walls and ceilings etc. and could have done with a refresh. Kitchen was well equipped but as with other reviews make sure you have your own cleaning supplies, dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper and spare toilet rolls. There are plenty of places to shop nearby for these. Swimming pool was pleasant, sometimes a bit chilly in September (about 25 degrees Celsius) but can imagine is very refreshing on a hot day. They supply baby equipment for free but bedrooms were small leaving almost no room for a cot, we had to move the bed up against the wall to fit a cot in our room. The baby bath also looked like it had taken a trip to the beach and not been cleaned! Overall it was a good value stay and we had a lovely time, just don’t expect perfection. "
