Nice place BUT
The property managers (Rental Adviser) were not helpful with communication throughout the booking process and pre check-in. The house itself was pretty good, EXCEPT for the roosters. These roosters (there were at least 3) crowed all throughout the night and day. Everyone in our party was woken up by them every morning and sometimes as early 3:30am. This made it difficult for everyone to enjoy the stay due to not getting much sleep. There was a super raggedy orange construction fence that made the view unsightly which is set between the house and the beach. You also have to walk around it to get to the beach and it’s a little awkward. I have to say though, it’s not a far walk which was a plus. There are a few positives of this place. The most important one being the property care taker because he was excellent and extremely helpful. He might have been the best part of the whole experience. And the close access to the beach and food trucks was nice, too. Those are the only reasons we are giving this place 2 stars.

Perfect for our family reunion
This was perfect for our extended family vacation. There were a lot of different hang out spaces and activities on the doorstep in the form of a beach and pickleball court. Carol was very helpful, taking a photo of us so that we had a record of our time away. The grill was the only part of the property that we found to be in need of a clean before we used it, as there was a lot of built up grease. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Amazing way for family to come together!
We had been dreaming and planning this vacation for our family to come together and spend great quality time. IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT! From early morning sunrises, to chill time, Surf boarding lessons, Kualoa Ranch UTV rides, family photo shoot, Pearl Harbor, dinner cruise, Polynesian Cultural Center, Dole Plantation, pickle ball, food trucks and local shopping, we could not have had a better time. Great location, the house had everything we needed and we knew Carol was there to answer any question we might have. THANK YOU CAROL, you were an awesome host. We definitely will be planning a return trip.

Everything we hoped it would be!
Having planned our Family vacation for almost 2 years, this home was the focal point of our celebration. The house was pretty much as expected and what you see from the pictures. The patio and covered table out in the back yard were both central gathering places to relax and enjoy family dinners. The ocean breezes were cool and constant. The rain showers were typically light and brief. There were 13 of us, but there was plenty of space to relax, or get away if needed. We loved it! Worth ever dollar, a bunch of dollars! Would I do it again. Absolutely!

Perfect property for family vacation of 2 families
We loved spending time on the beach and playing pickle ball when we were spending time at the home. We also enjoyed the large outdoor grilling area for some of our dinners. Wild peacocks in the yard were a bonus!

Family Vacation
This property was amazing! The location was great, the beds were comfy and it came with everything a big family would need. I wouldn’t hesitate to book this rental again. My suggestion: having a listing of all small appliances and anything else the house comes with. I didn’t know there were already some toiletries included (total bonus) and I wouldn’t have had to bug the caretaker as much if there was a document that told me the house had a drip coffee machine, blender, wine openers, etc. **my suggestion didn’t hinder my stay at all. The variety of household goods was great!

Great Family Home

House was amazing! Property was a tropical paradise!!
Nicely mantained older updated home! Kitchen stocked with with everything we needed plus a Breville Espresso machine that made mornings even better!! An absolutely beautiful view from just about any spot you looked out and a pristine beach great for any water sport!! Super close to a food truck haven, the Polynesian Culture Center, a great fish market and a couple of well supplied grocery stores! Our on-site property manager was awesome to work with and super sweet!! If/when we come back to Oahu we would love to stay here again! Absolutely gorgeous house, yard and beach!!

The Perfect Location!
This house is located right on one of the best beaches on the North Shore and is close to everything. It is well cared for and well equipped with just about everything you'll need including beach equipment. The caretaker Carol is very responsive if you need anything but otherwise invisible. We were 6 adults and 3 kids under 6 but never felt crowded in any way with so many areas to hang out together or alone. If you want a luau the Polynesian Cultural center is only 10 minutes away and is much, much more than you would ever expect. The entire trip was magical in large part because we had such a beautiful and spacious place to stay. If you are looking for a great value and convenient place on the North Shore this is it!

House is older than what appears in the pictures. Beware...lock on gate is difficult to open as numbers are wearing down. Bring a flashlight if gate needs to be opened in the dark. Driveway hard to find in the dark.

A little disappointed in this property, cleanliness, no towels for half of the people. It would have been nice to have been told where the washer and dryer were since there not in the house. We did have a lot fun at this property despite the few things I wrote above.

Family vacation on the North Shore
I wish that 4.5 stars was an option. This place is not quite 5 stars, yet 4 stars seems to harsh a review in my opinion. First the bad - the pictures make the house look like 5 stars. Yet the place is a tad rougher on the edges than the pictures present. It’s obviously a rental that gets a ton of use. Now for the good which all far outweigh the bad. Carol is fantastic. Very responsive leading up to our stay and quick to solve any issues that we had during our stay. Her customer service was outstanding. The location can’t be beat. A quiet, secluded beach, great boogie boarding waves, all the beach chairs and toys you’ll need, the lanai(s) are excellent. The sunrises were spectacular. An easy drive to other North Shore activities. An hour to Waikiki (take the drive down the east coast of the island, it’s beautiful!). The house is plenty big enough for a large mix of family. And you can easily hide out when they start to drive you crazy. AC in every bedroom was very nice. The kitchen is well stocked. We cooked breakfast and dinner in every day, had everything we needed, except for a coffee grinder. Could have used a coffee grinder. The bbq was clean and easy to start and operate. Pickle ball was also fun. You won’t be disappointed in renting this house for your family vacation.

The Photos Felt A Bit Deceptive … Lots of Updates & Cleaning Needed
I want to start by saying a house on the water is amazing and we enjoyed our stay. However, given the nightly price of this place, we fully expected a more updated, cleaner unit. We found a lot of dust in the rooms and bedding, had to do our own cleaning when we arrived, and felt the entire house was outdated and photos inaccurately depicted the condition of the property. You can tell this place is a rental that churns out people with little to no maintenance on the place. The photos definitely make the place look way nicer than it is and it can use a big facelift with room cleaning, updated linens and towels, new curtains (the curtains were all stained with some rust- master bedroom was the worst), updates to bathrooms, etc. We also weren’t aware there would be a caretaker right on the property. She was absolutely lovely but we felt that bit of information is something that would be nice to know prior to booking. Overall having family all under one roof was fantastic, and loved falling sleep to the sound of the ocean, however we personally don’t feel the value was in this unit until some Major updates and cleaning and maintenance is done. The value simply wasn’t there for the cost.

We booked the property for 10 nights and enjoyed our time together on the North Shore. The house is in good condition and mostly lived up to the listed description. We did encounter some insect issues, but the property manager responded to our request for action. Overall a good time was had by the group.

Wonderful beach house on northern Oahu
Enjoyed our stay immensely. Lots of things for our group to do. Sport court, sand toys, surf boards, boogie boards, all the equipment we needed for a group with kids. Lots of beach towels. Wonderful Time in the North Shore
The heavy rain throughout our 9-days stay did not wash away a great Hawaiian experience at this beautiful house. We had family members flying in from Sydney, Boston, Houston and Chile and we were able to spend some amazing quality time at this spacious house and when the rain did stop and the sun occasionally came out, the beach was just a few steps away.

The home comfortably handled a large 3-generation family for sleeping, cooking, relaxing and recreating. Plenty of equipment provided for play. Great location on the ocean with lots of nearby eating options. A couple of electrical and plumbing problems that required fixing. Would come again.

This is a dream property. The sound of the surf and fantastic sunrises were great. They had 2 surf boards and 8 boogie boards (of varying condition) which we found very useful. The pickle ball equipment is in the laundry room. We only saw 2 cockroaches on the main floor -- but it is Hawaii.

Make-up spring break trip
We really enjoyed our trip! Carol was so helpful and easy to work with before and during our stay. The house has everything two families need to have fun from board games to boogie boards. We made so many memories here. The lower ratings are just to ensure that if you rent you understand that this house is on the beach. Salt, sand and humidity are a part of it.

A near superb option at the north shore of Oahu!
The premise was clean and comfortable, location was good, & the beach felt private. Could have earned a perfect score for amenities (all in-door and most out-door furnishings were in excellent condition), if not for the unfixed-window screens and one table with chairs set. First impression suggestion, keep the place cool before guests arrival will go a long way. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect family retreat
We had an extended family stay, which the house and grounds worked perfectly for. Everyone had room to play and relax on their own while still allowing us spaces to gather everyone together. There were games and puzzles available for use indoors during rainy days and lots of outdoor equipment when the weather cleared up and we got outside! Carol was great and checked in on us routinely while still giving us the perfect feeling of being ‘home’. Everyone was very happy!!

Bug Nightmare owners did not respond, physical and emotional trauma
The property and location itself is very nice. We were over run by bed bugs, my children and grandchildren seriously bitten and owners would not contact us. We were forced to crowd into half the unit . We were blamed for ruining the infested mattresses. Picures available of bites and mattresses

We take complaints of bed bugs seriously and sent our pest control company to inspect the home while you were staying in the home. After a thorough inspecton they did not find any evidence of bed bugs. Our caretaker did her best to respond to your concerns. She acts on behalf of the owner as well as the manager. We have the pest control service monthly.. Hawaii is a tropical island and there are many bugs. The caretaker had noticed that doors were left open and could have been part of the issue. We continue to keep our home clean and pest free for our guests.

Great Location
My group of friends stayed at the house to celebrate a birthday. Great house, great fun. Only real drawback for us was the unexpected heatwave and no air conditioning. Plenty of room for all to be comfortable, loved the easy access to the beach, although the surf is a little rough. Enjoyed peacocks on the roof in the morning and chasing crabs on the beach at night. Carol the caretaker was hospitable, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. (Drawer on the freezer would not open all the way and the dishwasher rack wasn’t functioning properly) I would totally stay at this home again. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

We enjoyed spending quality time as extended family together in this beach home celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Wish it had central air conditioning, but I understand Oahu was experiencing unusually hot weather the week we were there.

Paradice!
Eleven fabulous nights with 8 adults and 5 grand kids. Plenty of room for all. Lots of activities close by and everyone was entertained with Swimming, Snorkeling, Surfing, Zip-lining Relaxing and Visiting with family. The only complaint I might have is after paying a hefty cleaning charge we were ask to sweep all of the decks and floors in the house which I did. I understand that sand is a concern and we made every precaution to minimize sand in the house and on the decks. All that said We Would rent this property again and recommend it highly. Chuck G.

We understand that asking guests to clean but understand that beachfront homes can gather a lot of sand and it can get tracked around the home quickly and do some damage. Perfection!
This is an absolutely stunning home right on the beach with everything needed for comfort and play. New bbq grill lots of space huge yard no one on the beach beautiful sunsets and a most gracious hostest Carol who is a true island gem! We’ve made this home our home away and our 3rd here and hopefully many more

Best porch, nice yard and nice beach
The porch is huge and has couches tables and chairs and the jaccuzi. we used it a lot. The breeze comes from the East from the water and cools pretty well, there is no A C in the home. That is a problem when it rains as the windows must be shut and it gets really hot. The house is really upstairs 3 bed ktichen living and downstairs 3 bed kitchen livng eating areas. the stairs are outside but that was fine. We rent 4 or 5 VRBO homes per year and this one had a lot of little things need attention to detail, neither toaster toasted both sides, we could not find an iron but there were several ironing boards. lots of knives but they would hardly cut butter. Terrible small blender, Many Rusted Hinges and in general need minor maintenance overall, sliding doors not working well in master, ran out of Toilet paper quickly rolls very small. Otu experience with Carol the Caretaker she was very nice but did not respond to much of the communications before we got there and a lot was in the air until i stayed after her to get done. She did a huge grocery shopping trip for us that save a lot of time and she was compensated i believe well for what we had done for us. WE had a chef Dinner prepared and served the last night and that was a great experience and an excellent dinner. The setting was great and our family had a great time.

Aloha William! We do have it in our listing that his property has no A/C. Thank you for the feedback. We will make an inventory in our kitchen and other appliances so we can replace all the things that need to be replaced. Hmm, I wonder what happened to the flat iron. Carol should know where it was. Perfect
Beautiful property right on the beach short walk to good surfing. Quiet except for the roosters which was still kind of fun. Close to everything. We've stayed here before and I will again I hope

Perfection
Quiet, beautifully equipped, right on the beach which is too rocky to play in right in front but a short walk along the beach North is perfect. Home easily fit our family of 11 adults (was to be 12 initially) with space for everyone. We ate out and in and facilities were ideal for both. We've stayed other places on the North Shore - this was the best, not the least expensive however.
