“We had never visited OBX before and felt so lucky to have found this great home! The location was so central to everything and was an easy drive to explore up and down the Banks. Being on the bay side, allowed us to enjoy coffee and listen to birds every morning on the pier. Yet the beach was an easy 4-5 min drive when we wanted to have the ocean. “I am so glad i found the FCI for our first trip to the Outer Banks. We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. “Exactly as advertised. Simple, no-frills, pet friendly beach house in a very nice neighborhood. When we arrived the water had been turned off (for the winter?). We messaged the host and she had the water co there in 30 mins! Great host, very responsive. Big TV. Stack W/D is great to have. Everything works. “Overall impression was great! The location was perfect, off the main highway but, close enough that you could walk to shops and restaurants. Beach location and access was great! I appreciate the fact the toilet paper, trash bags, shampoo and conditioner, were available! Coffee and creamer along with teas made it easy!
