We really enjoyed our six night stay there during the last week of October. Our room was perfect for us and the yummy hot breakfast every morning was amazing. We chose a historic inn rather than a hotel or airbnb because we like the more personal touch an Inn provides. Lisa, the innkeeper, was very helpful and friendly. Beth, the Manager and breakfast chef was super hospitable. With the beach just a short walk away...we could not have asked for a better value stay on the OBX. This is definitely not your modern, run of the mill hotel but it is very cool. You feel like you are walking back in time to the 1930s and 40s. The breakfast was fabulous. Bed was comfortable and room was spacious. Bed spring mattress and type of pillows could be better. Because of my back concerns we could not sleep here again for that reason.
