Certainly a great place

Adirondack visit
We had a great stay at the condo. It was a great space for our family. Very clean and well stocked. The covered porch was nice for being outside on a rainy day. We loved that we could easily walk to the waterfront on a trail right outside the condo.

Location!

Excellent stay
The property was just as it was listed. Jim answered all questions in a very timely manner and was great to deal with. If and when we are back in the Lake Placid area, we will stay here again. Highly recommend it!

Enjoyed our stay with absolutely no issue. Jim was great and responded to all our needs immediately. The condo was great - very clean and plenty of supplies. Just a suggestion: the dinning table is not in good shape but okay. I suggest replacing it. Entrance closets squeaks but working well. A little repair work will stop the squeaks. Your guests will appreciate it. Overall, we loved our stay and definitely recommend it to our friends.

We stayed in Lake Placid for a wedding - but we want to return! This property was perfect for us. Everything we needed was provided and there was plenty of room. It was a bit warm the days we stayed but with the windows open and fans going at night we slept comfortably! We will return!

Fantastic location
Quiet, convenient location with beautiful views of Whiteface. Skiing right out the door. Well equipped, beautifully decorated. Small improvement might to add hooks and towel bars in the bathrooms. Highly recommend.

Splendid Weekender

Beautiful location
This unit is located in the Whiteface Club and Resort located on Lake Placid. We had access to the beach at the lake and other amenities. The hosts were very good at communicating with us. We enjoyed our stay overall.

Nice accomodations
The condo was clean and had everything we needed. We were very close to the Lake (Lake Placid - we walked down to the lake from the condo- it was beautiful) and also close (5 min drive) the village where the Olympic Museum and Olympic Oval are. We were also about 10 minutes from the Olympic ski jump. It was about 30 minutes from Whiteface, but the drive was not bad at all. We brought our snowshoes and there were trails within walking distance of the condo. We really enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic property, steps away from the lake. The marina is right there. Nice bathrooms, and even a small outdoor seating area. Location is conveniently near supermarkets and a few minutes from Lake Placid village.

Perfect Vacation
The condo was just as described and was very clean upon arrival. If the weather were better, we would have been able to enjoy the beach/lake more but that couldn’t be helped. Lake Placid was the perfect vacation spot during COVID. We will be back and hope to stay at 46 Brookville again!

Nice
The condo was clean and tidy. We played a round of golf on the wonderfully maintained golf course. All staff where friendly. The restaurant on the lake had great food and wonderful views. It was a short walk from the condo. We were able to get an Uber to town for some shopping to not have to deal with parking, etc. However, be mindful that transportation home has potential of being difficult as there is limited ubers later in the evening. Many hiking trails and a short drive to several attractions.

Beautiful Lake Placid and Club Access
Townhouse was located in Whiteface Mountain Club which had nice views, access to water and marina and a sense of privacy. We loved the area and location. The townhouse itself was nice though a little more outdated than I imagined. This was my first time staying through VRBO so I didn’t know what to expect but it was comfortable. There was a lack of basic cleaning products ( for example dishwasher soap) and the coffee pot, pots and pans etc weren’t in great shape but perhaps that’s par for the course. It met our needs and location was great.

Condo did not meet expectations
My family and I were so happy to be in beautiful Lake Placid but the condo did not feel clean. The kids bedroom smelled of vomit. When I finally got in touch with property manager, she sent someone to clean the spot on carpet but the smell remained throughout our entire stay. There was also an ant problem. The condo is on the bottom ground level. There were many ant hills on the back patio so the large ants were in the kitchen and bathroom throughout our stay. The bedspreads and blankets were not clean. The surroundings of Lake Placid were gorgeous but the condo could use a deep cleaning. You need to bring your own soap and cleaning supplies. During this Covid-19 environment, the owner could not guarantee that surfaces, faucets, handles were wiped down with disinfecting wipes so I wiped everything down before unpacking our belongings. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property to a family.

We’re sorry you were disappointed. Your review was surprising because we always receive 4 and 5 stars (4.8 average). When you contacted us, we had a professional cleaner there within 1 hour. We personally spoke to the guests who stayed just before you, and they denied any illness or vomiting, and in fact the cleaner who cleaned just before you arrived stated she did not see or smell anything like you describe. We also spoke to the folks who stayed after you, and they also denied any odor, and saw no ants. Both groups were very pleased with the accommodations. And today, we purposely visited the condo to verify this, and saw no ants, and smelled no unpleasant odors. We also found soap and disinfectant spray we had left for guests. We hire professional cleaners who comply with covid-19 standards. Your decision to also clean again a second time is a policy we also follow when we travel.

The condo was delightful with beautiful views over the trees towards the mountains. Very clean tidy.
We were so impressed with this condo and location. Visiting Lake Placid for the first time, as we were here for the lake placid Ironman. This property is perfectly situated close to town and with some entertainment close by for the children, we enjoyed the countryside the local mini golf, shopping at the local supermarket with several other close by shops. A short drive into town to Lake Placid village, where there are numerous Olympic sites wonderful restaurants, shops and even breweries. We were close to several attractions like the Olympic ski jump center, the equestrian facilities, John Brown’s house, some wonderful natural gorges and mountain walks/trails. More wonderful than all of this was the grounds in which the condo is situated. We were able to walk from the front door down the short path towards the most wonderful formal gardens to Lake Placid it’s self. The development has a wonderful restaurant with bar right on the lake, where the children could swim in the most beautiful surroundings. We would be sure to come back to this location again and stay in this particular property, it was wonderful and a great experience with lots of memories made.

Perfect Stay
Was in town for my twins lacrosse tournament and the location of the rental was perfect. Close to downtown Lake Placid, grocery store 5 mins away. The house was comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed walking around the property which is well maintained and wasn’t super busy. Beautiful flower gardens that line a path down to the quiet private beach. Would stay here again if we return to the area.

Lake Placid Ironman
We stayed here for the 2018 Lake Placid Ironman. It was in a great location, just 3 miles from the start, 2 miles to downtown. Close enough to all the activity, but far enough away so we could relax. Condo had everything we needed and the owners were very responsive. It did get a little warm and humid at night, the fans that are in the condo did help to cool it down

Great Ironman Weekend Condo
This condo was perfect. Just a short 3 minute drive to downtown and you are in the heart of Llake Placid. The swimming area was perfect for our two kids, sandy, clear, and refreshing water. There was plenty of space for the 5 of us to sleep, eat, and enjoy ourselves. Thank you so much for sharing your place with us!

Great location and amazing views
Truly enjoyed our stay at Brookhill (46). Condo was extremely clean, had everything you needed (kitchen, bedrooms, bath, and in unit laundry). Beautiful partial view of the lake and within walking distance of the lodge (five minutes) if attending a wedding or function. Couple minutes walk to the golf course and tennis courts. Short drive into town. Would defiantly book again if ever visiting Lake Placid again.
