The room we booked was very spacious for two and the included amenities accommodated my partner and I perfectly. Staff at reception was very welcoming and made checking in and out super easy. The spa was amazing and the room was very clean and the added wood fire heater kept us warm during the entire stay.

We arrived 4pm on a Saturday and reception had closed. Easy enough to collect the key. Staff had put the fire on in our room so was nice a warm. Wanted to go for a swim but didn’t seemed open and all facilities looked closed Room was spacious and clean although a bit dated. Bed was very comfy. Cost of room was quite expensive with it only being the room and no other facilities

It was lovely walking into the room with the heater on, ambient music playing and a lovely aroma in the air. The room was really nice and clean. My only niggle was the bed was a little hard for me. The location was very central for exploring. I would definitely recommend it to others.

I must say we were underwhelmed by our experience staying here. They show photos of the restaurant and day spa. Both were closed all weekend. No one at reception to ask for dinner recommendations when we arrived at 3pm as they had closed the office at 1pm but we had been sent a message via the Hotels.com app that we needed to unlock a key box which was pretty simple to do. Our room felt very run down, broken tiles around the base of the spa, the shower leaks. The location and views are nice but don’t look too closely at the garden directly outside our window as it’s full of weeds and very unkept. The gas fire was on when we got there and the room was nice and warm which was a nice touch.
