"For what you pay, this is an excellent place to stay when visiting Hereford, but it is really a room only property. It is situated a couple of miles outside Hereford, in a quiet countryside setting, so is nice to unwind at. There is a continental breakfast available for only £5, but this could not be booked through the Expedia site. There is a communal kitchen and dining room, so you can either make something yourself, or order in a deliveroo. The room was a good size, clean and functional, with plenty of storage for your clothes. The bathroom was a good size, with a nice corner shower unit. There is limited manning of the front desk, but there are contact numbers if you have a problem. Having said that, the 2 members of staff on reception that i met were both welcoming and helpful, so do not get put off by this. Would i stay there gain, most certainly."

"Lovely room. Extremely comfortable bed. Staff were pleasant annd very helpful and breakfast was tasty and well cooked although no fruit, yogurts ect. Place was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of parking and husband enjoying the local real ale. "

"Excellent hotel and pub. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was also excellent and wonderful value for money. The rooms were a good size, wonderfully clean and had everything you would need, including an iron and ironing board. So good that we are booking a return visit!"

"Room was fine. Clean and a good amount of space. The only downsides were the room was very hot even with the window open all night. Considering it’s April I presume the summer will be stifling. The shower also was poor, the pressure was low and operated from the bath taps meaning the temperature was extremely difficult to regulate. "

"Breakfast was very good, but parking was a nightmare. Information said the railway station was open until 19.30 .. we went to look ... 18.00! There is nowhere to drop off bags etc. abd my eife uses a mobility scooter, so, we would not be able to get anything to eat in the evening. I had to carry our case from the railway station and dusmantlr the scotter and made several trips up stairs to store it in the very small room, then, carry it downstairs again to go out. I dud leave assembled in the dining area but all this after putting on the Expedia form ... a ground floor room please. The bathroom was very small with nowhere to put anything"

"Really nice hotel staff were friendly . Got in the car park ok as it in the week . Everything is walking distance . We didn’t have breakfast but I walked past and it did look good . Room was clean hairdryer Iron iron board in the room . Tea coffee in room Shower was great didn’t have shampoo conditioner and shower gel just had hair and body wash all in one which I didn’t care anyway I would definitely stay again ."

"Lovely period gastopub right on the river Lugg. Lovely light and fresh accommodation. Food all delicious with a great selection. Their eco wellness spa facilities was a real treat to hire as well, a gorgeous spot to relax in. My wife loved her massage with Charlene as well. Definitely recommend"
