“Location is beautiful, easy access to Pāhoa and the ocean. Would definitely stay again; only thing we didn’t like was there were cameras everywhere including where the indoor recreation area is at. We understand the need for security but that part made it feel a little uncomfortable.”

“Beautiful spot, house is large, nicely furnished and decorated with a well stocked kitchen and other amenities. In a residential neighborhood, very friendly atmosphere and pleasant area to walk around. Pahoa is a quiet town, has a nice new grocery market and a few fun places to go out to eat or drink. We saw tons of whales go by from the lanai and enjoyed short day trips to Hilo and Volcano.”

“Of all the VRBO houses we have stayed in, this one is probably our favorite! The location was ideal with the constant lulling sound of waves and birds we've never heard. Exploring the area was a lot of fun too. Especially discovering the lava flows from 2018 close by. The house was tastefully decorated with a lot of attention to detail including fresh flowers on the table upon arrival! AND very clean. No sign of any critters or bugs. Owners were very good about communication, and gave awesome...

“We really enjoyed our stay and had everything we needed. It was a very peaceful location and nice to be such a short walk to the beautiful coast. My only suggestion would be to not have to drop off garbage at the end of the stay. Thanks.”

“If you want an experience and not a hotel, this is a good place to consider. Don’t complain if you wanted a Marriott; it’s not the Marriott. The hostess and host are kind and genuine. The lodging is nestled in a neighborhood, but it feels almost like a jungle. The shower is outside and is reasonably private. Don’t mind the geckos lingering nearby as you enjoy fresh fruit for breakfast.”

“The house was in an amazing place on the ocean overlooking about 30 feet of lava into the ocean. The waves crashing put us to sleep in comfortable beds. The neighborhood was nice and restaurants were close. Liv and Bob had neighborhood suggestions for restaurant and activities. We went to their neighborhood black beach and it was awesome. The kitchen had much more than you could ask for. I would love to revisit this place and stay in this house again!”
