$8 Car Rental Gandul

There's loads to do in Gandul, but head farther afield and you'll find more sightseeing magic. Organize a set of wheels and you can meander around the surrounding region at your own pace. Add these fantastic drives to your itinerary:

• Head off to Culebra for a fantastic sightseeing adventure. Roughly 55 miles from Gandul, it has many great sights, including Flamenco Beach.
• Next stop? It has to be Garrochales, which is around 35 miles away. Bosque Estatal De Cambalache is one local hot spot you won't want to miss.
• Get out into the outdoors and breathe in some fresh air at Playa Sardinera. It's approximately 130 miles from Gandul.

If you don't hold a driver's license issued in Puerto Rico, then you may need to get an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence to be allowed to rent a car. Also consider that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current driver's license your passport and other forms of documentation as well. Lastly, it's important that the credit card you used to book the rental vehicle matches the name on your driver's license and passport. Some additional requirements for international car rentals are:

• Age restrictions: You need to be 25 or over in most places to rent a car. If you're younger, it may still be possible to rent a car but you'll have to pay a Young Driver's Surcharge. Additional restrictions may also apply to the types of cars you can rent.
