If you don't possess a driver's license issued in Puerto Rico, then you might need to acquire an International Driving Permit (IDP) in your place of residence in order to rent a car. It's also important to note that if you do need an IDP, it has no validity on its own. You'll need to show your current license your passport and other forms of documentation as well.
