We were expecting a B&B as the description portrays, however, what you’re actually booking is someone’s home to share with other guests & no staff presence. As entering the home, we were greeting with a pungent smell. It took us some time to place it but finally concluded it was coming from the kitchen. One of us thought it was expired milk while another thought it was the smell of the kitchen not having a good scrub down. The host did put out breakfast items: half a bag of cereal, a packaged pound cake, crackers, and coffee. We went through the cabinets (to find soap) when we noticed the dishes she sat out for us were dirty and saw there was in fact expired milk and other items like what she’d set out so we did not eat the breakfast. Not only was this an issue, but you’re required to pay a $54 cleaning fee; this place is the dirtiest place we have stayed in during our 19 day trip. The floors looked like they hadn’t been swept/mopped in quite some time. There was curly black hairs all over the bathroom (the tub, toilet, floor). We washed the toilet ourselves before using. Beds were fine but the blankets are duvets without a duvet cover which wouldn’t be an issue except, given the fact that the rest of the place was really dirty it left us to believe they’re probably not washed after each guest’s stay. Now, the host is very nice and gives you tons of helpful info. She was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage the day we checked out until our flight. Location was great!
