The key code works, but unfortunately the key code didn’t work that night as our cleaning lady had not been there to clean and reset the code as we discussed. We were able to give you a way to get in , however our cleaning lady had been involved in a bad car accident with her daughter as we mentioned the day after you left. We didn’t find out why she had been non responsive until the next day because her phone had died while they were at the Emergency Room. Again, we are so sorry for your inconvenience. Just a very terrible turn of events. We did refund the fee and wish we could have done more for you. Thank you again for staying with us and we hope you’ll stay again.

Stephanie, There is not a lot of “junk around”. Very vague to say that when it’s not true as well as your quote that “it just needs work”. Also, the broken glass was from a storm window that, fortunately did it’s job, as there was a major wind and hail storm that caused the storm window to fail instead of the real window during your stay. We don’t have “bricks” anywhere on the property. There are trees on the property as seen in the pictures that do produce leaves. We do have some items from the detached garage that need to be taken to the street and have been, but the garage isn’t even a part of the property. And yes, there are bugs outside from time to time since our property is very nicely near the woods like everywhere else on the lake and is very peaceful and private due to that. I tried to be beyond accommodating to your “concerns”, however to no avail. Best of luck in the future! Thank you for staying with us!!

Lacey, The guests that left the same day you arrived broke the shower head, so there was no way to know it was broken until they checked out and our housekeeper could find and notify us that it was broken on the same day you arrived. We tried all three of our plumbers (on a Friday afternoon) plus every plumbers within a 2 hour radius that we don’t know and only one of them was available within effectively a one day notice. So, it’s not fair for you to say that I didn’t care. It should be noted that you’re stay was only two days long, so it’s just terribly unfortunate that the shower head was broken when it was. That is the reason I did offer you a discount and you said not to worry about it and that it wasn’t a big deal. That’s when I severely apologized again and said that at least you could take a bath. I nor any owner can control something like that. I always make every accommodation to make sure everyone has a great experience which almost all of our guests do as noted by so many 4 and 5 star reviews. The review right before yours is a 5 Star review. I care that EVERY one of our Guests have a wonderful experience. Regarding the beds, they are not from the 1960’s. They are only a year old and are very expensive Sealy Posturepedic mattresses that we get compliments from our Guests about which say they love them and that they’re very comfortable and our house is very clean and every one loves the charm of it. Unfortunately, it appears you are saying something else to justify your negative review because of the broken shower head. Also, the cleaning lady was not there until 8:30. That is completely untrue. You said, when she wasn’t finished at 4:00, that you would go drive around town and eat dinner. She was finished and left the property at 4:20 for which I apologized to you that you had to check-in at 4:20 instead of 4:00. Lastly, almost all of our Guests do not just like, but they LOVE our property and reserve it for stays in the future. I hate that you’re stay wasn’t great.
