“Very comfortable house with lots of really nice touches and extras. Amazing views onto reservoir and surrounding landscape. Quiet, peaceful and tranquil - just what we needed! Lots of walks literally on the doorstep. We had a great week”

“Well thought out cottage design very well presented but testing for size - just an extra 5% of space would yielded 20% increase in convenience and enjoyment. Hosts and neighbours are excellent. Parking is unusual but workable. As a couple (one Aussie and one Aussie born in Yorkshire) we really enjoyed our time at this cottage and would highly recommend it. Walk to village is 10 minutes and huge number of attractions within 40 mins.”

“Property as advertised. Parking was not the difficulty we had anticipated.”

“Spent 4 nights in this lovely, comfortable and well equipped property. Great location with walks from the door and well placed to explore the Holme Valley, Yorkshire Sculpture Park, National Coal Mining Museum and for wandering off to the Peak District. Also convenient for Huddersfield. Quiet location minutes from Almondbury where there are shops, pubs cafe and also from Farnley Tyas and it’s pub. Note: the property is on a bus route to Huddersfield. Would we stay again? Definitely ”

“We were a party of 5 adults and one child. The cottage is spacious and well furnished. The setting is idyllic with fabulous scenery all round. The owners, who live next door, are very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this cottage!”

“Very nice and cosy, outside space was nice but sadly weather was too cold! Nice and central for the local KWVR Getting off the drive can be a little challenging when traffics busy, Sue was lovely and we would go back again.”

“Super cute cottage, great location. Lovely pubs within walking distance the sweetest village shop. Really enjoyed our stay. Host is helpful and provides lots of information with local attractions. ”
