"The staff was overly hospitable, kind, generous, and friendly. They let us stay an hour longer and charged our iPhone when we lost our cord. The Casino is spotless and huge, with free coffee day and night. The room was beautiful as well. "

"Absolutely paradise! The house was comfortable, beds & pillows were perfect, very clean and met our needs for space. The location was great. Close to Idaho Springs for dinners out and shopping. Close to I-70 for excursions and adventures. The back property was a Colorado heaven. A small river runs through and level land for sitting riverside and area for the kids to run around and explore. We caught 8 small trout (catch & release) and the kids enjoyed feeding the koi fish daily. Each fish was given a name. Because of county fire restrictions, we couldn’t have any outdoor fires or use a grill. We would definitely book this VRBO again. James was very attentive. Just FYI- no air conditioning but they did have fans and nights cooled down to the 50’s. "

"The house is comfortable and well supplied with all you’ll need for your visit to Central City. The kitchen is well appointed for cooking and there is an outside grill where you can prepare dinner while overlooking the city below. This can be important because it is a little tough to find a good place to eat in the area. Lots of bedroom and bathroom space for an extended group. The owner who is your contact is very friendly and responsive to any needs you might encounter. The house is in walking distance from the opera house and casinos although it’s an uphill climb on your way back. A great stay overall!!"

"My friends and I spent a day in Golden tubing and enjoying the Coors brewery! We walked to downtown Idaho Springs and enjoyed the restaurants, bars, and great people! We spent a morning at the hot springs and an evening in black hawk losing all our money, but making unforgettable memories! Couldn’t recommend this place more highly as a central hub for all things fun!"

"We loved our stay! It was perfect for our kids who love the outdoors- they loved playing in the creek and exploring the property. The natural sound machine of the creek was amazing and we even saw a moose walk right by on the other side of the creek one night! The hot tub and a warm shower each night was an added bonus, perfect for those who love camping but would prefer some glamping "

"We had a great time at this cabin. It was so quiet and peaceful there. The house was well equipped. It was very clean. Any questions we had or concerns were answered by the host very quickly. There are a lot of stairs, but we managed them very well. If I were to go back to Black Hawk, I would certainly want to stay there again."

"We loved everything about the home and enjoyed our peaceful stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, the views were amazing and the house had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed our hikes in nearby locations and our visits to Golden and Idaho Springs. The close proximity of A&A Stables and Rocky Mountain White Water Rafting were a great convenience and surprise for family fun.Everything was incredibly clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!"

"It's not always that an experience lives up to your hype and expectations, but this place absolutely does! The cabin is well-equipped and cozy, just like you'd want in the middle of the woods. The deck was a great place for our family to enjoy meals, roast marshmallows, and watch hummingbirds (so many hummingbirds!). A short walk takes you to a patio by the creek, or into the woods, or up into the hills (this turns into a not-so-short, punishingly steep hike).But it's really the treehouse that steals the show. As soon as you start walking over the bridge from the cabin to the treehouse, you know you're heading for something special. Every room makes great use of the space, so you never feel cramped despite being in a house squeezed between a few trees. The finishes are top-notch, and there's a lighting preset for every mood. Adults can make coffee and cocktails, while kids can play and climb up from the ground beneath the deck to the very top level.Finally, if you've got some time, take on the scavenger hunt. It might take you a while! But it is extremely clever and gets you to explore more nooks around the property.Suffice it to say, we had a great time and plan to stay again!"

"We came out ftom MN to celebrate our nephews graduation from high school. This property ended up be 10 mins from our families home. The property is as displayed. The beds were super comfortable. Appliances were updated and clean. No complaints from our family.The view was amazing. The garage was super convenient. It even fit our Yukon XL. The homeowners were very quick with responses and kind."

"Photos of the view from the cabin do not capture the true beauty of the in-person view! The location of this place is perfect! Very private and quiet. We saw eagles circling the sky, moose in the pastures, and deer in the backyard. We aren't avid outdoors people (the wifi worked great, the place was heated, the water was treated and hot, and we cooked our own meals, so we had no reason to venture out), but the views of the snowcapped mountains tempted us so we made our way over to St Mary's Glacier. We were ill prepared for the hike and didn't make it far, but the view was breathtaking! The entire stay was excellent; off grid living with modern amenities. Travel tip: the last 1.6 miles of road up to the cabin is unpaved and the driveway is very steep and rocky. There was no snow or rain during our stay but we felt much better knowing we chose a 4x4 vehicle for the drive."
