New Mountain Retreat w/outdoor activities including rock climbing and hiking

Get away from the city and come to the mountains to rest, unwind, regroup with friends and family. This new home near Chattanooga, TN accommodates 10 guests of all ages, with a ramp entrance and a curb less shower on main floor for any handicap guest. The game room in the basement area includes air hockey, foosball table, elliptical machine, large TV for movie night, board games, and a card table. This 3-level home has an open concept for family and friends, full kitchen with new amenities, and a grill on a wrap around deck that overlooks 3 acres of outdoor space including campfire pit, camp site, picnic area, soccer, horseshoes, baseball, volleyball & cornhole games as you step outside the lower living space. Camping gear is available to rent for $50, and this cabin is pet friendly with crate, pet beds and portable electric fence if needed. We are located on Mowbray Mountain, Soddy Daisy TN - only 28 miles north of Chattanooga, Tn. Bing search engine best for locating property.

Why this Cabin? : We all know there's a big difference between being NEAR the beach or ski hill and being ON the beach or ski hill. This new cabin is ON the Cumberland Trail with a lifetime of outdoor adventure walkable from the back door and is where you want to be for outdoor activity. From the adjacent Deep Creek trailhead, you can explore the Deep Creek and Big Soddy rock climbing areas and the continuous 30-mile section of the beautiful Three Gorges section of the Cumberland Trail offering hiking, swimming, fishing, and trail running. Additional outings include nearby hand gliding, bouldering at the Cumberland Boulders and Stone Fort located within 2 miles of the cabin and all of the family friendly activities offered in nearby Chattanooga located only 25 minutes from cabin.

Quiet Mountain Oaisis
We did a short stay with my family of four and my brother and nephew….there was more than ample space for us all to spread out. We loved the secluded private neighborhood, the hot tub was nice after a few mile hike on the Cumberland trail (conveniently located across the street). The fire pit was relaxing too and it was nice that Theresa had plenty of chopped firewood available. There was cornhole, horseshoes, and other games for us to kill time while we decided what to do in town or hiking. Theresa was also very helpful and available for any questions. A great quiet mountain oasis….would stay again for sure!!

Wonderful Christmas Visit
Our whole family enjoyed their Christmas visit in Soddy-Daisy. The home was beautifully decorated! There was room for everyone to enjoy games, conversations, cooking, movies indoors. The entrance to the Cumberland trail was adjacent to the property. Hiking was fun and challenging! The yard was spacious for more outdoor activities. We would highly recommend this vacation property!

A Soddy Daisy Christmas
We hosted Christmas this year and had family members come to Soddy from 4 different states. We chose this VRBO for the 15 of us to celebrate together, with 8 adults, a toddler and a baby staying at this beautiful house (the rest stayed with us, as we live in Soddy). It means the world to me that my family had such a wonderful time. A few of them said it was the best rental property they had ever stayed at. Beautiful scenery. Very peaceful, with a sky full of stars at night. Steps away from amazing hiking. Plenty of space for everyone. Huge private parking lot. Cooking and eating full dinners every night, including grilling steaks on the large grill in the wrap-around porch. Firepit and a swing in the big backyard. Huge smart tvs with all the apps. Fully stocked with everything including the kitchen, the playroom, the bathrooms; it has everything you need for a home away from home. Theresa is a generous, thoughtful host who thinks of all the details, including a welcome gift and note, and offering plenty of suggestions to fully enjoy our experience. Excellent communication. Very clean house that smelled great. I trusted this very important family event with her and her property, and am so thankful that I did. She is wonderful, as is her home. If you can book this house, do it and you’ll enjoy all it has to offer.

Beautiful property!
We meet up with our friends each year or so to camp in the mountains with our pets. I found this beautiful house and it was absolutely amazing. Super clean, nicely furnished, well stocked. Everyone had their own space. The beds were comfy, the showers were nice, the kitchen was awesome. We played cornhole, used the campfire, hiked the trail right out back. Our friends have a 17 and 10 year old and they had a blast playing with all the outdoor games. The kitchen is stocked with practically everything you need. We used the air fryer and the waffle maker multiple times. There's a 2nd full size fridge on the 1st floor too which was nice. Theresa had maps of the trails out back which I was glad I took pictures of because we got lost coming back! The hike was really steep and rocky and covered by fall leaves so maybe not the best for everyone, but still beautiful and a lot of fun. There's also a lot of little places close by to visit by car like the Soddy Daisy fishing Pier where we caught a few fish. Also the North Chicamauga Creek Gorge is beautiful and Big Soddy Creek Gulf. In late October the water is really low so not a lot of flowing water but still beautiful with fall leaves. Chester Frost Park is 20 mins away, TN Riverwalk and downtown Chattanooga is 30, Rock City Gardens is 41.. all well worth the beautiful drive from Nagi Tanka which was perfect in the gated community. Theresa is a fantastic host and we loved our time in this beautiful house and property.

Informative, pleasant, and responsive host was wonderful! Entire property was clean and convenient in small and appreciative ways; loaded spice rack, clear directions provided, amazing dish/pan options, extensive books/games/activity options provided, etc. Super close to major restaurants/grocery/gas located in a safe and scenic hideout. Quick Getaway and Birthday Celebration
Our stay was wonderful! The house was perfect and had everything we could have ever needed for our short time. GPS was right on getting us there - but in the dark, it could be difficult ( 4 star rating). Very private and beautiful setting. Clean!! Our grandchildren enjoyed the game room and the out door setting. Theresa was quick to respond and very helpful. (might be a good idea to put away all personal items left in the bathroom (ie toothbrushes and such left out??). Overall, an ideal place to stay for many people ( we only had 6). THANKS so much! Highly recommend this property!!

If your looking for a spot that is away from the hustle and Bustle this is the spot! This home is nestled in Beautiful gated location away from city. The home is well with every kitchen bakeware and pots and pans, Great for my sisters and I because we love to cook. This place was great for morning and evening walks. The kids had a great time playing in the huge yard as well. Avery was a great help in questions and assistance, her response times were within seconds and minutes. We will definitely be back one day!! We give the home and location a 10+

I’ve stayed in VRBO’s from California to Maine and have never stayed in a property as amazing as this. The house was impeccably clean, fully equipped with lots of towels, extra blankets, toiletries. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you would ever need I.e. waffle maker, air fryer etc. Beautiful gated super quiet neighborhood with wildlife abound. Theresa has thought of everything right down to the box of chocolates and amazing little cookies at check in. If you are planning a family getaway in the Chattanooga area. Look no further, you will not be disappointed. Thank you again Theresa for a unforgettable weekend with my granddaughters. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

Theresa is an exceptional host. She checked on us before, during and after our visit. Her home was beautiful and clean, and the house was stocked with everything you needed and more. She definitely thinks through the details. It rained the majority of our stay, but the property had plenty of things to do to keep us entertained. If you’re into the outdoors, the house is a 15 minute hike to some great rock climbing/bouldering, and is a 15 minute drive to some amazing swimming and hiking spots. One of our best VRBO experiences to date. We’ll definitely return.

Great place for a family get together.
Beautiful newer property with a wonderful host. Would recommend. Some in our party hiked the approach trail to the Cumberland and evidently it is for experienced hikers. Fairly steep and rocky in places..our most experienced hiker gave it a high moderate rating. Stormy during our visit and power was out for several hours on our second night. Kitchen was amazingly well stocked as were the towels and bedding. Kids loved the game room in the basement. We sat on the deck and listened to whippoorwills at night. Saw several deer as well. This is a beautiful area and home.

Beautiful Spacious Property
Our family met in TN for a quick getaway. This house was perfect! Not only were there 3 levels so that everyone could have their own space, as well as open spaces for gathering, it had everything you could need from infants to adults! There were fans in every room, sports nets and balls, games, washer/dryer, spices and basics for cooking and even all the essentials for a campfire! The property is spacious and beautiful with lots of wildlife. It was also right up the road from the North Chicamauga Creek Gorge Trailhead, which is a large creek with swimming areas and rapids…be sure to take the extra hike to the Blue Hole! Theresa the owner was super helpful and responsive. We had a wonderful time and we are so grateful to find such a gorgeous place to stay!!!

We were 2 families with young kids. The home was very clean, very well stocked on basics such as spices, towels, few food staples, even a few toys to keep the young ones busy. The neighborhood was very safe and trail behind the home was a memorable and exciting for all. The owner was very welcoming and easy to reach. I would stay here again.

Church Rafting Trip
We had the absolute best experience, the house was perfect!! Our group made memories that will last a life time. If you are looking for a house that accomodates larger groups this place is perfect! Great place to enjoy w young school-age children!
What a fun week we had with our grown children and our grandchildren (10 of us). The accommodations were clean and provided everything we needed. Yet we spent most of our time playing games in the yard, which was spacious and separated from neighbors. Theresa was a gracious hostess and her place was even better that her description of the property. Can’t wait to return!

Where to start!! We had such an amazing time here at this house. Theresa was so accommodating and always contacting us to make sure we were ok. So much to do at this house and so much room. We had an amazing time!
It’s become a tradition for my family to meet up after the holidays for the New Year, since some of us live in CT and some in FL. We chose this house because it looked so inviting and it was just that! Everything about the process was smooth and simple, from booking, to check in, to departure. We felt so welcomed into this house and it was perfect for the 10 of us. Theresa leaves no stone unturned with the details. Everything we needed was in the house, available for our use. The kids loved the game room and bunk beds, as well as all of the outdoor games available and the swing. Theresa’s communication with us was perfect and she let us know she was there for anything we needed. This property is a GEM, the perfect place to make memories and we would LOVE the opportunity to return.
