"Tahoe City is lovely, reminiscent of a village on a lake in the Swiss Alps (It could hardly get more beautiful or charming), and is also a short drive to Palisades at Tahoe. The Pepper Tree Inn is in the middle of town, walking distance to a the biking/walking path along the Lake, a wonderful lakeside public park and beach, a Safeway supermarket, numerous restaurants, ski/snowboard shops, and sits on a hill overlooking the lake.
