The first room we got, when we opened the door, there was a cat inside staring at us, then we were moved to the second room, where we could not sleep ALL NIGHT because there were termites chewing those woods inside the room and the chewing noise was so loud that we could not sleep! We even recorded it just make the front desk people listen, and they were astonished! Then we were moved again to a third room. This was a really painful hotel stay!!

Pleasant 5 nights stay. The two housekeeping ladies are genuine with big smiles. Dinner options are satisfactory (considering the standard in Africa). Rooms are old but with this price point it is fair. The rest of the hotel including swimming pool and bar area are pretty.

La struttura esternamente è tenuta molto bene. Le camere sono spaziose, seppur arredate economicamente, pulite e il bagno con doccia e asciugamani cambiati giornalmente. La spiaggia privata di sabbia bianca è in ottima posizione per godersi il tramonto. Sdraio moderne e nuove. La cucina un pò ripetitiva e l'angolo pasta da migliorare. La serata con cena in spiaggia e musica é stata bellissima. Il frigobar sempre rifornito con acqua e bibite. Non mi è piaciuto non avere una bottiglia d'acqua a tavola ma dover sempre chiedere ai camerieri che riempivano il bicchiere. Il mio giudizio, comunque, a parte qualche pecca è molto positivo

Spent 5 nights it was an amazing experience and staff are very friendly, the location is great, I had full board booking with 3 meals a day the food was average you might find something suits you from the buffet

Stunning grounds, large, comfortable rooms, great location. I was thrilled to arrive. But the staff need better training. 2 issues—1 minor and common, 1 major and shocking—spoiled my stay. Minor—the breakfast area staff are TOO aggressive about taking away plates. Every 3 minutes someone tried to take my half-finished plate and coffee. Let a man enjoy his breakfast in peace without being rushed! Major—checkout was AWFUL! 5 staff behind the desk, only me and 1 other couple in front of the desk, but it took nearly 30 minutes. When I presented my door bracelet, and said "checking out," the staff looked at me blankly. I was ignored for 10 minutes. They finally got around to it, another 10 minutes later they came with a US$2 bill for tourist tax. (I paid $180 for the night, but OK...I gave 5,000 shillings) "Are we done?" "we check the room now." "Just now?!!" 20 minutes into it, I tried to leave (had a boat trip departure for my 50th birthday that was NOT flexible due to the tides). They LITERALLY held me captive. The security guard seized my bag from me and protected the gate, crying that he would be fired if he let me out. Shocking! I said: "look if you want anything at all from me, simply ask for it and I will gladly give whatever it is, but I MUST leave NOW" but they wouldn't budge until I made an ugly scene. I arrived 15 minutes late to my destination and was lucky to board the boat. Sum: More "Pole Pole" needed in the dining area, and far LESS needed at checkout.

Nice hotel close to fabulous beach
Overall the hotel property was nice. The included meals were good and buffet style. The Friday night dinner on the beach was great. A small point for some perhaps is that the pillows were small and a bit lumpy. The beach was fantastic apart from the annoying touts or "beach boys as they call them who harass you endlessly to buy things and tours. They hang out right in front of the hotel property, and spoiled every visit to the beach as they follow you even after you tell them you're not interested. If the hotel can't move these people on it would be great if the authorities would do something about it. Either move them away, or allow them to set up a tour stand with the proviso they don't harrass visitors.

A terible hotel
We had no hot water for 4 days of staying, we offerd no compansation from mannegement and the one thing that they could tell us about it is "welcome to Zanzibar". The room was old and smelly. We paid around 200 U.S dollers for this lowsy treatmant and old room and facilities. We were at our Honeymoon and we got no champaine or any notification of it and the Hotel just ruined our Zanzibar vacation. The worst value for money. The same food in every meal. I wouldn't seggest my enemys to go there

Nice Hotel Nasty Staff at reception
This is a nice and comfortable hotel. Location is great, food is amazing and in general, staff is very pleasant. The only bad experience was at the reception upon our arrival. They were rude and kind of nasty. At one point, I called them because I wasn't satisfy with the room I got (I have asked for two beds and got only 1), and the lady was even screaming to the man on the phone, obviously mad at me. Even at the check out they were rude! Finally, if you drink, stick to beers and wine as the cocktails is nothing but juice!

Amazing spot to relax! Staff very friendly. Hotel very Good In general but the room was 'asking' for manutenaince (toilet, AC, etc) Good entertainment during a Beach dinner very well organized. A positive experience.

The food is good with plenty of choice and the staff are all very friendly and efficient. This is very much a holiday resort for Italian guests. Th rooms are not so good... Shower leaking and the bathroom in genera need of maintenance. TV initially didn't work at all, then after being "fixed" gave half blue screen and half yellow making all viewing like some sort of smurfs meets Simpsons episode. Not that the tv was majorly important with nungwi beach being so accessible. Beds very hard but still had a good sleep. Aircon in room very bad and temp can't ups not be changed. All inclusive price only includes food and drinks at meal times... Therefore calling it all inclusive is misleading so be prepared for extras.

Nice hotel, beautiful beach
Great hotel with all the expected amenities for a 4 star hotel. Absolute paradise with the best beach on the island. It needs to be noted that the hotel is an Italian establishment, which isn't a problem, however the staff are mostly only proficient in Italian or Swahili and not English. I did expect more of a buffet selection, and the quality of the food is variable. It wasn't for the food, I would have given it 5 out of 5. Thanks for a great stay.

Zanzibar gem
Real treat in Zanzibar, Italian owned and fest language. But they love having us there , fascination of English. Great setting, right in beach, sunsets lovely laid back hotel, food super, entertainment and drinks day time refreshments very good. Short walk (on beach) to action of Nungwei if you want it.

Une belle découverte, l'hôtel est superbe avec un jardin luxuriant et un accès immédiat à la magnifique plage. Nous mangeons face mer et la nourriture est excellente et variée. Le personnel est adorable, les chambres spacieuses et très propres. Que du plus pour cet hôtel qui m'a été recommandé et que je recommanderai à mon tour.

Detta är ett stort ganska slitet charterhotell med buffé till frukost, lunch och middag. Många gäster har ”all inklusive” och lägger handdukar på solstolarna tidigt före frukost. Vi hade bokat 5 nätter men stannade bara en. Sängmadrassen hade djupa gropar och luktade gammalt och ofräscht. Även sängkläder och kuddar hade en dålig lukt. Vi hade även termiter i takbjälkarna på badrummet. Ingen bra känsla men Bra läge vid den fina stranden, två pooler.

Flott hotell - men dårlig mat
Et flott hotell, nesten som en resort. Mange tilbud på hotellet, som spa, shop, lege mm. Artige og spennende show på hotellområdet flere ganger i uka. Middag på stranda på mandag, var flott. Maten derimot var rett og slett dårlig! Vi hadde frokost og middag inkludert. Frokost var litt dårligere enn ok, middag var skikkelig dårlig. Spiste utenfor, på andre restauranter siste dagene. Oppholdet var allikevel verdt hver krone!

La struttura ha un bel giardino e gli esterni molto curati, grazie al personale che lavora ogni giorno con precisione. La mia camera non era il massimo del confort, aveva un cattivo odore di umidità misto a spray antizanzare, che non andava via. Sarebbe anche un po' da rinnovare. Macchie di umido alle pareti. Cattivo odore nel bagno, anche se l'housekeeping ha sempre fatto il miglior lavoro possibile. È capitato che mancasse l'acqua. Ma la cosa che meno ho gradito è stato uno solo ristorante con solo servizio a buffet, di qualità media, che per di più nel prezzo include solo il bicchiere d'acqua a quanto pare anche nelle formule all inclusive. Il bar aveva un piccolo menù a la carte, ma troppo poco per chi non preferisce le cene a buffet con centinaia di persone impazzite. Avendo scelto solo b&b ovviamente era tutto molto limitante. Cercare altrove è stato meglio. Spiaggia bella, bella anche la piattaforma con la piscina e ombrelloni. Nel complesso, una struttura con un bel potenziale ma gestita non in modo consapevole.

Sur taxes chambre de 70€ alors que nous avions déjà payé et choisi notre chambre de luxe Lit matelas inconfortable Juste tissu rouge comme couverture, pas de couette Pas de carte sur la porte pour indiquer ne pas déranger ou merci de nettoyer la chambre La nourriture et bonne et les corbeaux en profite dès que vous quittez la table pour aller chercher votre café ou autre nourriture Par contre aucun dessert c’est dingue et les 3 fruits proposés sont vraiment pas bon ou peu sucré Les petites bananes sont bonnes Plage propre et transat confortables Les chambres sont propres et bien nettoyées Salle de bain ok La TV écran plasma mais 1 chaîne française de documentaires pas de chaîne TV concernant les actualités en France et Qualité image très mauvaise Wifi très mauvais saute régulièrement Personnellement nous ne retournerons pas dans cet hôtel My BLUE. Le personnel a un regard très condescendant et critique. Très mauvaises vibrations si vous avez le malheur de réclamer quelque chose de normal, le personnel le prend comme une attaque et ils se passent le mot entre eux. Grand manque de professionnalisme et de sérieux. Le fils du dirigeant qui nous saluait tous les matins a lui aussi adhéré à ce genre de gaminerie. Nous nous sommes sentis très mal à l’aise avec ce genre de management. Beaucoup de clients mécontents

Notre séjour au My Blue Hôtel s’est merveilleusement bien passé. Le personnel est très attentionné et souriant. L’hôtel dispose de 3 piscines dont 1 au bord de l’océan dans un cadre incroyable (magnifique sunset). Nous étions en pension complète et la nourriture est appréciable. La responsable Cashier a été très compréhensible en nous permettant de faire un Check-out tardif en attendant notre vol retour. Notre séjour est positif sur tous les aspects. Merci pour ce séjour !
