Few universities have both powerhouse football and basketball teams who have been national title contenders nearly every year for a century, but the Michigan Wolverines can claim such excellence. Winners of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament in 1989 and home to the legendary players known as the Fab Five, the Wolverines have made it to the tournament 23 times. Not to be outdone, the football team has won a whopping 42 conference titles and 11 national titles, and they play one of the hardest schedules every year thanks to their inclusion in the Big 10 Conference.
