Gem of the holiday, everything I could want from a hotel. Mountain View rooms and balcony brilliant.

He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable. Lack of comfortable seating was the worst part of the stay - either one sits on the worn out couch, or the hard dining room table chairs. The interior was filled with flies - they keep landing on our heads and food. The owner’s acknowledged the flies were an issue, but she said she can’t fix the issue as she doesn’t know where they are coming in from. When we told the owner the toaster didn’t work, she assured me that it did. She said the problem was that the plug was broken, which supplied the electricity to the toaster. (Sorry for criticizing the toaster!) Guest bathroom towels are dishtowels. Getting to the dock is perilous. It’s accessed down a long exterior staircase. The railway ties that once made up the stairs have lifted and twisted over time to be become dozens of hazardous, raised tripping hazards. Getting down to the dock is not for the faint of heart. Once at the dock, access to the dock is gained by climbing over the first dock section that is covered in logs and branches, and has been distorted to a 45 degree angle, making climbing over it treacherous to say the least. There are a series of yurts and a trailer overlooking the property.

We were there for our anniversary and it was amazing. Kim and John were so nice people and the house was beautiful and very clean and quiet I totally recommend this place 😍

We made a last minute decision to stay in Canmore for the night while visiting Calgary. We found this resort condo on Expedia for a reasonable price and booked it. Great communication with the manager and easy check in process. The condo was perfect, very clean with little extras like coffee pods. The beds were super comfortable Location was perfect and was on the trail that takes you into downtown Canmore. Our only regret was that our travel plans only allowed us one night stay We plan to return and will for sure book this in the future

The hotel is nice but the spa is this best! Would be nice when you stay there to have complimentary breakfast?

Stunning location and view. Perfect way to unplug and enjoy the mountains.

We were very excited to stay at this condo. There were pros and cons, which I will detail here: Pros: fantastic location - walking distance to many restaurants, the Main Street, great running / biking routes, easy access to the highway by car, and everything else was walkable in the town of Canmore. The views of the Rocky Mountains are amazing. The condo has lots of potential. All supplies were provided (stocked kitchen, towels, laundry detergent shampoo/conditioner, body wash. Cons: a little refresh would go a long way. New shower heads are needed (terrible shower spray), shower curtain is mildewy and discoloured, shower rod is rusted, sheets and towels are well worn and not great quality, smelled musty). Kitchen pots and pans are also very worn (pots are extremely scratched up Teflon that are not safe to cook in), used dishwashing sponge, not enough clothes storage (no drawers, tiny closet, few hangers). The biggest disappointment was the building was being renovated due to water damage and the fitness center was closed. This was not mentioned to us prior to check in and not amended in our nightly rate. We are an active family and value having a workout every day, and we specifically looked for a rental with fitness facilities. Hopefully management will take these comments into account and make some refreshes for the condo. It has great potential and we would have given 5/5 with more thoughtful updates to the linens/condo supplies, and heads up about the gym.
