Favorite resort in Punta Cana. Short drive there, great food, well maintained. Been to 6 other resorts and Joia is the best for us. Average age is probably 50, but we like that. No stupid stuff by the pool ruining the vibe, people have respect for other travelers. Nice change from other less laidback resorts. Not for the 21-35 crowd.

The staff is very accommodating especially the chefs, if you have any dietary restrictions/allergies. The resort is very clean and up to date with their rooms. Such a great place to stay!!

Clean room, great dual showers in some rooms. The staff for facilities was amazing.
Elijah was the best.
Merkel made things happen and showed up in an amazing fashion.
There was a chef whom was in the buffett on the seafood station, across from the meat. Then he was the chef Japanese grill. I dont recall his name, but he too was amazing. He also recalled us as a group, he also made sure we had fun at the grill. Great memories were created with his help and guidance.

The food was great every day. There was plenty to do close to the resort.
As a guest of several other resorts, the only thing I’d advise is that more staff is needed, especially in the buffet section. I waited for water consistently. I’d rather get to know the servers, place them in the same section each day.
