"nice location, uncomfortable futons "
it was an overall ok stay, friendly and helpful staff, i liked it that you had to take off your shoes before going into the hotel, they had umbrellas available for the guests to take away on rainy days, location is great, ten to fifteen minute walk to shinjuku and theres okubo station really close, like a three minute walk from the hotel my only problem was that the futons were way too thin, extremely uncomfortable, no difference from sleeping on the floor, bathrooms are tiny too but thats just japan, room facilities all very good and overall very clean just the futons really ruined my back there, i was expecting something else, really, they were as thin as a carpet

"Close to station "
Decent hotel.Room size was quite small but fine as I was not there to spend much time in the room. Excellent location. Very short walking distance to asakusabashi station. Staff were very welcoming and warm. I was able to check-in early by two hours which was fantastic! At a very small charge which was even better. Convenience store connecting to hotel lobby was great for drinks n snacks. Had no problems during my few nights stay.

"Nice hotel, good location."
Stayed 2 nights (night of arrival in Japan and following night, mid-July, 2015) before moving on to Kyoto. Check-in was fast and smooth (perhaps made more so because we had pre-paid on-line) with staff that understood English. Wife and I were traveling with 2 teenage daughters, so we had to get 2 rooms (we found it nearly impossible to get a room for 4 people in Japan). The rooms were clean and modern. On this and a previous trip to Japan, I found the mattresses to be very firm (to my liking). The free WiFi worked well. Portable hotspots can be rented at the front desk for ~500 yen/day (100MB). In the lobby, there was free coffee and free sundries in case you forgot something. The hotel is within steps of an entry for the Daimon subway, and about 10 min walk to Hamamatsucho train station and bus terminal, the latter of which is where tours of the Sunrise Tour company departed (we took the one-day tour to Fuji/Hakone). There are numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities within walking distance. The area is heavily trafficked by the white-shirted "salary men" on their way to and from work. Overall, a good experience. We selected the hotel based on proximity to the Hamamatsucho station/bus terminal. If planning on spending more time in Tokyo and seeing other sites, perhaps other hotels may be more convenient; but again proximity to the train station was fine.

"Close to Ueno Station"
I chose this hotel because it was close to UENO station but not too expensive, and we had a very early start the next morning catching the shinkansen. I would not recommend this hotel for a prolonged stay; the room was very small, but adequate for our needs as we only used it as a stopping off point for one night. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is private and quiet; it is on the opposite side of the tracks to UENO park and the markets at Ameyoko.

"Small but efficient, clean, and modern"
Staying here felt a tad impersonal - not the usual solicitous staff as one would expect from a Japanese hotel, but it's skewed to those who can be more self-sufficient, with check-in/out kiosks, vending machines, and room supplies on each floor. So you don't really need the staff anyway.

"Small and Pokey"
Fair walk to get to and if you are unfamiliar with train systems you could easily get lost. Close to new Sky Tower and old Centre of town. Wifi was horrendous, dropped out often. Room was tiiinnnyyy tiny and my brawly Aussie bloke found it hard to sleep alongside me in the very small double bed. Good for those on a budget.

We booked a room for 3 people and hotel is nice and spacious. Train station is about 20 feet away from the hotel and the taxi stop is right outside of the hotel. The train station is about 3 stops from Tokyo station. The location is not very good because there's nothing much around the hotel. You have to get out of the area to get some decent food or something. It's away from the city. The hotel entrance is hidden inside or behind a coffee shop. It's on the big street, almost next door to McDonald.
