"Stopped two nights, one on a package. Very comfortable hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff. Couple of observations: only one chair in a room for two people, loads of space for a second. Nowhere to put your open suitcases, except on the floor, what happened to good old fashioned luggage stands? "Cute little B&B located just a few mins from the train station and about 15 min walk into the city centre. The room we were in was at the very top. Note, lots of stairs and to get to room 12 is a small awkward staircase but all good for us. Room was simple, though lacking headroom in places, had everything needed including AC, washer, sink, cooktop and fridge. Would stay again!"

"Perfect position and literally only steps away from the Minster. Easy access to the typical York city centre ancient shopping streets. The hotel itself is comfortable and well appointed, and the staff were helpful and charming. The only negative point is the minuscule lift which barely holds two people and a suitcase. Valet parking is an additional bonus"

"Had a lovely stay at Minster only thing no lift .But gave me good excercise with my dodgy knees.Also no ventilation in the toilet.Will definetly book again."

"This is a quaint old style Bed and Breakfast, without modern amenities There are many stairs to the rooms with multiple landings and no lift. Not suitable for the mobility impaired. The single room I had was small and very hot ( in the eaves and one small skylight), but there was a fan in the room that helped quite a bit. Staff very friendly and a good breakfast. Pleasant enough, even with the stairs. "

"Beautiful Hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Less than a mile from the showground so nice walk there and back.to events. Evening meal was outstanding as was breakfast the following morning. Our rooms where a great size but the only criticism I would have is that the room decoration was a little shabby however the cleanliness and furnishing where spot on."

"I loved the cosy traditional decor of my room and the hotel, its beautiful garden, the facilities available in my room and a comfortable bed. Having access to a secure car park was a great addition. My only gripe was that I had to re-make the bed before going to sleep as the sheet didn't cover the whole mattress. I subsequently found a stain on the mattress protector... This is more to do with the chamber staff. "
