Reasonable cost and clean, but worn

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Stayed two nights. It was clean, but had a strong odor of disinfectant in our room and smoke in our friend's room. The only reason we stayed here is that the price was under $100 per night. Don't know if it was worth it. The facility is dated and the internet access was super slow. On the second morning, a group of motorcyclists woke everyone up by revving their bikes for about 45 minutes and loud yelling, swearing, and top volume of a GPS unit in addition to the revving. This happened RIGHT NEXT TO THE OFFICE, yet the staff did nothing. It was about 7 am on a Sunday.

This side of town is going downhill

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Proximity to downtown. Around the corner from a cool diner "The Breakfast Club"
Cons: The whole place need a lift. It has been too long.
Location: Decent location other than the strip it's on. Head to 10 Barrel or Deschutes Brewery. Definitely eat at the Breakfast Club and The Victorian Café.
This is a relatively inexpensive place to stay but it comes with some draw backs. Bend has clearly given precedence to the downtown and "other side of the river" area because this side of town has taken a beating. It becomes pretty apparent after crossing under the railroad tracks on Greenwood or Franklin. Less nearby attraction means less dollars for the hotel and therefore less money for improvements. The Inn really needs some work/upgrades. That being said the distance to Bond and Wall St. is nearly within walking distance and super close driving to some really great spots.

Visited for the Bite of Bend festivities

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: See above.
Cons: Light fixture outside of our room was not working.
Location: Downtown Bend is easily walkable from this location.
Our motel wants are simple: clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower and reasonable price. This Day's Inn location easily met all of these criteria. We occupied one of the newly refurbished rooms - it was very nice.

Decent value for Bend

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Pros: Cost, breakfast...
Cons: Tear the building down and replace it with a modern design.
Location: There's a jack in the box next door in case you get hungry!
The hotel is one of the older style hotels where the rooms are accessed directly from the outside walkways. The rooms had fresh carpet which was nice and were pretty clean. It wasn't fancy, but I was pleased with my stay considering the low cost. The hot breakfast was also decent, I was shocked to have coffee that wasn't horrible like everywhere else!

close to downtown

Pros: the pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. the rooms were a nice size
Cons: the staff was very indifferent when we checked in, not un-friendly, but certainly not welcoming.
Location: If you made an effort to come to Bend then you probably know about all of the activities!
This is a reasonably priced, centrally located hotel in Bend.

Close to Old Downtown, restaurants

Older, recently refurbished hotel but not updated. Clean room but thin and noisy walls. Clean facilities. Bed was comfortable enough. Heater and in-wall air conditioner inconveniently located under sink and adjacent luggage shelf. Note: replacement of carpet still in progress.

First experience at a Days Inn

Posted Jun 24, 2014
Pros: Double sinks in bathroom
Cons: Better housekeeping details.
The room was booked for 4 people. I had to call (with my cell phone) to front office as phone didn't work; only 2 cups & glasses available, cars backed in & fumes in room, no grab bar in shower, did not replace used towels from the first night, had a shortage second night. Had to get linens from housekeeping. Not able to get receipt day of check out, so didn't know what they had charged. Refrigerator was so frosted over that it froze all my food & drinks.

Bend Oregon Days Inn

Posted Jun 23, 2014
Pros: The person who checked us in was very nice. He really seemed glad to see us. We chatted a bit and he was very pleasant.
Cons: Update the rooms they are old and outdated. New pictures on the walls that are not so dark.
Location: It is next to Jack in the box.
We had to call and get linen for a hideaway bed. The staff said they were not housekeeping and seemed upset that we asked for anything. This motel is old and run down. I had a bit of mildew in the shower. It is in an old part of town. The plus is the breakfast was great, eggs potatoes, biscuits gravy and much more.
