    Cultural Influence

There has been a lot of European influence in Zambia leading to a great deal of urban development. This has led to a great deal of contrast between rural and urban culture. As a result, your tour of the country provides the opportunity to experience both familiar and foreign influences. Corn is the primary staple in Zambian cuisine, and vegetables and fish are also incorporated into the fare. You'll encounter many wonderful crafted goods throughout the country, especially items based on natural materials such as wood and fibers. Baskets, wood carvings, and wire crafts are predominant. When you look for special discount rates for rooms, explore hotels in Zambia that include cultural food options and experiences.

    National Beauty

Victoria Falls was named by David Livingstone, the first European to see the falls. His sharing about his adventures in Africa and of the beauty of the falls led to a great deal of traffic to the area by tourists and traders in the late 1800s. In addition to visiting what is considered by many to be the world's largest falls, you can also visit the nearby town of Livingstone. Don't miss the statue of David Livingstone at the falls. You'll appreciate that Zambia hotels provide you with great prices on the best tours of the attraction.

    National Parks

Zambia provides you with nearly 20 national parks ranging greatly in land and wildlife features. In addition to the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park at the falls, you will find options like Lower Zambezi National Park, a location with a lodge and excellent wildlife viewing on the river. Kafue National Park is one of the largest national parks in the world and great for animal viewing. Book cheap hotel deals in Zambia that include the opportunity to take in some of these popular sites. Reservations for cheap Zambia hotel deal options should be made with weather trends in mind as you will want to avoid the rainy season.

    "Protea Arcades,, Lusaka"
While staying at the Protea I was admitted to hospital with malaria which I had contacted in Congo. I was travelling alone from Australia on business. The hotel staff provided an excellent service while I was in hospital bringing me my essential supplies from the hotel. They also picked me up from hospital on my release and checked on me in the room on the day I returned. The staff certainly went beyond their basic job description in order to provide a brilliant service.

The Taj Pamodzi is warm, welcoming and comfortable. It does not have an institutional feel like some other high end hotels. The staff are exceptional in terms of the level and quality of service. The food is tastey with lots of choice.

"The bar has been raised on hotels in Lusaka/Zambia"
I was delighted to have the opportunity to stay for almost 3 weeks at Radisson Blu. I believe that over the years I have stayed in most hotels in Lusaka, and a lot of others in Zambia, so I feel pretty qualified to say that Radisson Blu has created a new level of hotel experience in Lusaka/Zambia. The rooms were very spacious and beds comfortable - pillows much too soft! (the strange shape of bath was a bit of a hurdle!). The restaurant is fabulous, and exceptionally for a hotel a place where non-residents are likely to flock to to eat. Steaks compete favourably with Marlin at Lusaka club - and that says a lot! Bar menu for some reason has some same food items but cheaper than restaurant menu. Great pool and pool area. Wifi - fabulous. It works! The staff were ever so friendly, and what's more very helpful when it came to the crunch. One slight downside is that, although directly facing the lively Arcades shopping area, it is not easily accessible, and one is obliged to cross the busy (dangerous) Great East Road, and furthermore negotiate two very lively public minibus stops (one on each side of road). For that reason it has a feeling of being cut off from 'Lusaka'. Great deals available on Expedia - but not at hotel, but caution as Expedia bookings do not qualify for Carlsson hotel points. But you can get discounts on bar and food items using Carlsson card. I've already recommended to many others.

    "Great Location!"
The hotel was just what we needed! With the swimming pool just outside our door, restaurant and bar few feet away, it was very lovely in the evenings! Staff very helpful, although the bartenders could have been more friendly. The rooms we're comfortable, breakfast buffet very well organized, filled with delicious food! The food was amazing! Great place for the price! I would go back there again!
