El Rodadero Vacations
Get out and explore while you are here. Take a trip to the Rodadero Beach.
The El Rodadero area is home to many population centers, each blessed with its own special charms. Mata de Platano, lays 25 miles (40 kilometers) to the west, and Buritaca is situated 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the west.
Approximately 3 miles (5 kilometers) to the northeast of El Rodadero is Santa Marta, a regional center where you go see Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Park, Tayrona National Park and Customs House. Santa Marta has plenty to offer travelers keen to hang around here a little longer. Taganga Beach, Ciudad Perdida and Santa Marta Cathedral are a couple of other places not to miss.
In many cases, the difference between a true traveler and a run-of-the-mill tourist is a little appreciation of language, so be sure to get your mind around some simple Spanish words and phrases once you've booked your trip. "¿Querría bailar conmigo?" is the Spanish way to say "Would you like to dance with me?" Or try "Este caballero pagará por todo" (This gentleman will pay for everything).
All good things come to an end, but be rest assured, when it's time to leave Magdalena, you'll be leaving with many wonderful memories to take home.
