Clean, friendly and close to the beach

Yes, they are under construction but it did not interfere with our stay. It is a small hotel that seems to run like a really good family business. All of the staff were friendly (with guests and each other) and seemed genuinely interested in making our stay a positive one. What was telling for me was watching and hearing the staff interacting with each other. Nice to be around people who are rolling with the punches with all of the changes. No grumbling or using it as an excuse for poor service. While we were there the breakfast room had to be closed for the construction. Breakfast was moved to the bar area. The staff were working together trying to improve placement of equipment, tables, etc. Everything was positive. There was no difference in the variety or quality of the food.

Pros: Very comfortable room
Cons: Mid August and the pool was heated and not refreshing! Too hot! Would be great if there was a way to pump in cold water!
Location: Good location, good restaurants and shopping and close to the beach.
Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was standard. A short walk to the beach.

I won't be staying here again

This was my third time staying at this hotel and I will say last time . First of all , I requested to be placed on the 2nd floor because my mother does not like heights ..when we came in to check in the front desk person Raffael told me they are sold out and the only room he has available was on the forth floor (no I am sorry we can not accommodate your request). When we checked in OMG room smelled terrible , like pet smell . I immediately called the front desk and told them about this and they sent the housekeeper to spray the room . It did remove the smell for short period but you could still smell this nasty pet smell. Raffael told me he can't move to any other room since they are sold out . Just to mention I booked this hotel one month ago and requested in notes to be placed on a lower level to a nicer room since I am frequent visitor . After two days hotel renovation started on the fifty floor, just above our room ..our room number was 404 ..so the noise everyday was from. 8-5 ...I could not even take a nap . My tv would loose signal from all pounding on the 5th floor . I asked front desk staff why they did not warn the guests of this work and one girl with tattoo on her neck was so rude and told me " it's posted online on th site of th hotel". I explained her that I booked trough expedia not directly trough hotel site and she was still insisting it was posted ...very rude , not even say " I apologize ".nothing . Like i said , very very unsatisfied.never again staying

Pros: The employees
Cons: More care needs taken when doing normal maintenance/repairs so they aren't noticed by the everyday customer; paint matching better, etc.
Location: It was in close to the beach, ocean, restaurants, shopping, and groceries. A taxi from the airport is around $30 & $20 from hotel to cruise port.
The employees were nice and helpful, but the room was less than I had hoped for. The dampness and ocean-like condition, I guess, had taken it's toll. There were many, many small areas in the room and complex you could tell had been patched and painted. It wouldn't have been too bad, but the paint used in repairing the areas did not match the other paint around it. Part of the overall facility was "closed" according to one of the employees though, as it as currently under renovation/repairs. It was in a very nice location to the beach although there is now another hotel that sits in front of it & obscures any beach or ocean view.

Great Location but no security.

Easy, short walk to the Fort Lauderdale strip and beach. Hotel is not secure. Anyone can walk into the parking garage (which by the way is an extra $10.00 per day), and take the elevators to any hallway in the building. Rooms are being updated, however a new bedspread, carpet and bathroom counter doesn't make up for numerous coats of paint attempting to cover chipped doors, frames and walls. They do provide microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room. The only thing going for this hotel is the location.

Hotel needs work , but close the beach

The hotel is clean, but needs work (water damage, thin walls). It's a short walk to the beach (very easy access). The breakfast buffet looked great. I would not pay full price for this hotel, but for the discounted price , it's well worth it.

The location of this hotel is perfect. You are a 5 minute walk away from the beach. You don't really have a view of the ocean because of surrounding hotels but that didn't bother us. The breakfast served was awesome. They didn't just have muffin and juice, they had anything you could imagine; fruit, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, cereal, baked goods, etc. All super delicious!! The room was a bit dated but, it was comfortable enough. Overall, you can't beat the price for the location to the beach. Hotel staff was super nice and helpful! They even loaned us chairs and an umbrella to use on the beach. They were renovating at the time we visited so if you were in your room during the day, you heard some loud construction noise. Thankfully they did not start the noise until after 9:00 so it did not wake us up.

Pros: I liked that the location was close to the beach.
Cons: The hotel needs a complete remodel.
Location: Right on the strip where everyone wants to be. Would look a bit further up the beach though.
This is an old hotel with poor workmanship in repairs. Hair was present throughout the bathroom.
