"The breakfast choices included a delicious variety of fresh fruit bowls, yogurt (homemade?), fantastic homemade banana bread, juices, caraffe of coffee or teapot, cooked to order eggs, bacon and toast. Everything was delicious and service was excellent. The room was clean, charming and bed /mattress was very comfortable. We had a great sleep. We had a lovely two night stay and will definitely return in the future. A real gem in a lovely town."

"Great weekend with friends. Frank & Val pull out all the stops for their guests. This is by far the best place for anyone with allergies to scented products. The cottage is supplied with everything you need and all scent free. The kitchen is a dream, well-stocked and spacious. The deck and fire pit area were an added bonus. "Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. A few excited moments at dusk when we caught sight of several whales waaaaay out – okay, turned out be distant shoals but what fun! Enjoyed long walks … to Peggy’s Cove … and exploring Polly’s Cove. Exchanging smiles and waves with the locals made us feel right at home. And visiting with hosts Tom & Donna … after spending time with these cheerful folks we didn’t want our time in this one-of-a-kind special place to end!"
