Better than I expectedPosted Jul 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very friendly and welcoming landlady. Twin room, although quite small, was adequate and comfortable, and very clean. Shower was powerful and easy to control. Fridge, TV, kettle all fine. Just what i needed. I booked this guest house for myself and my 4 year old to stay in for 1 night as it's close to legoland. Having read the reviews I was filled with trepidation, and fully intended to rate it as a 1, to counter the 5's given by someone I assumed to be a friend of the owner. But when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised. The guest who complained about aircraft noise needs to learn to read a map. Any accomodation that close to an international airport is going to have aircraft noise, but actually it's so regular that you soon get used to it. Don't get me wrong, in giving it 4 out of 5 I'm not suggesting it's a 4 star hotel; the Ritz it isn't! But as a place to lay your head for a night or 2 close to Heathrow, Windsor etc. I'd certainly be happy to stay again. I cannot comment on the breakfast, as WE chose not to partake. As they were full they wanted me to commit to a time for breakfast. (Not something I wanted to do with a 4 year old in tow) however she was trying to be as flexible as possible, and provided a choice of cerial in the room instead. Over-all, a good night.

The price of this hotel is cheap compared with other hotels in that area. But public transportation is very bad and it is too noisy because of London Heathrow Airport. If you do not have your car, it is very difficult to move to other place.

Not as expectedPosted Jul 11, 2013
Pros: The staff was very pleasent.
Cons: Check in time and attention to the small details like providing soap.
Location: The train is about a 10 - 15 min walk from the hotel.
We were looking for a place to rest on an overnight layover through London, in that respect we got what we were looking for. Things to note were that soap was not provided in the room. Check in for the day of arrival is 2:00pm, We arrived at 10:00am. The staff on this matter was very accomidating and allowed us to store our bags and even get a quick shower. Overall we had a place to stay, it just wasn't as expected.

No top sheet!Posted Jul 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Brief stay...needed a bed and this was an okay place to crash. The owners were very accommodating. They clearly house long term guests. Shared bath - but some rooms have an on suite. Quaint... but prob wouldn't stay here again.

Was okPosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
Positives - Clean, amenities were ok, bed was comfy, hot water, wifi was ok, a selection of tv channels. Negatives- i was charged 50pounds for late checkout, considering i paid 75 pounds for the room, that was unfair...., we were given a room on the first floor and had four suitcases, so had to drag them up, no porter, or help from staff.... Although we were offered to leave our luggage in the store, but this was not a good option considering we would need things from the suitcases and leaving important items in the care of strangers is not advisable Location- we paid 40pounds with london black cabs to the hotel, but we paid 27 pounds with minicabs to heathrow airport from the hotel so its not as close... There are no shops in a walking distance in the area, about 15-20 minutes away,, so i suggest you bring everything u need..... We missed breakfast, and had to order food online, although the manager offered some eatery menu's and cereal... I have tried to remember most things , the manager and his wife seemed nice however i couldnt tell if this was because they felt guilty after collecting the 50pounds or because they were actually nice ppl... Really didnt know..generally it was just ok

"Not a place to stay."Posted May 14, 2013
Not worthy of its name! The place is not better than a private home passing off as a guesthouse. It is run by one man and one family member. Room I stayed had no telephone. What was called breakfast was a bottle of cornflakes and a jug of milk. I would not advise anyone to stay in this so-called guesthouse.

Great place to stay while visiting London.Posted Apr 8, 2013
Location: It's about 5 minutes from the Heathrow airport. It was only a short drive to the city and other areas of intrest.
This is a great place to stay if you want to be close to the airport and be only a short drive to London and other attractions.

Lay over optionPosted Mar 21, 2013
Pros: Close to Heathrow and the train to Windsor
Cons: Cab companies charge quite a bit to go the few blocks to Heathrow
Location: A great pub about a mile away,go north to a t intersection go right and at the next traffic circle the pub is on the left. Great food all day!
We had a great overnight stay. It was a short walk to the train station which allowed us a day at Windsor.
