Relaxing Family Holiday

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Courteous staff, abundance of bottled water, stocked rooms, bar availability, different meal locations. Filtered water faucets. Hot showers!
Cons: Schedules could be dropped off at our room like our departure notice. Food really good, not awesome. Better beer choice. More a la carte restaurants.
Location: Nice mall down the street. Plenty of excursions within driving distance, ie, snorkeling, scuba, swimming with dolphins, zip line
Just returned from an excellent trip to Royal Solaris Los Cabos. Pleasant staff who wanted to make your stay comfortable. Beautiful rooms, all with a wonderful view. The beds were way more comfortable than others have eluded to as it is a hotel bed, not my personal master suite. All the food and drink a person could possibly want! Safe, relaxing, enjoyable. Elementary age kids had a blast. Nightly entertainment. The waves, while dangerous, were mesmerizing, and added to our delight. No pushy time share sales pitch. It was available but we weren't interested. The hotel lobby staff, servers, housekeeping...all amazing! Good sun here. Lots of beach or pool deck to lay out on. Kids water park to entertain the youngsters.

Hotel by the beach

I would recommend this hotel only with families with kids, the people who stay here they are very noisy, I couldn't sleep at night with the door slams, the service here is excellent it was just the noise.

Fabulous family-friendly resort!

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: Kids Club and children's activites were top notch. The proximity to town and safe shopping options. Great shows, awesome beach, fab pool and drinks!
Location: We walked downtown San Jose one day & hit up a touristy shopping area another day. We didn't do excursions, but heard they're great. Walmart close
We loved our stay at the Royal Solaris Los Cabos and will definitely be back. The resort was 150% kid friendly and our two kids (5 and 3) had a blast! The kids club was top-notch and the staff in the kids club and the rest of the resort were fabulous. Kids club staff exceptional. So much for the kids to do, but also a great time for the adults. We loved almost everything about this resort!

Fun in the sun

Posted Apr 13, 2014
Pros: Its relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: Stop the high pressure sales pitch; we are there to enjoy and relax!
Location: San Lucas is a bus/taxi ride away, and San Jose is within walking distance. Either way, bring a good pair of walking shoes. Both are a must see.
I was vacationing with my teenage granddaughter. It took no time at all before she met others her age and they became instant friends. I had no worries about their safety on the premises. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The entire atmosphere is very relaxing. The only drawback is no swimming in the sea, but there are plenty of pools to make up for that. We ate at one of the "specialty" restaurants on the premises (there are two). The food presentation was spectacular and overshadowed the taste of the food, but that didn't stop us from cleaning our plates! The dress code is bathing suits to casual anywhere on the premises. There are activities for all ages throughout the day, and once the sun goes down the action moves indoors with plenty of music, dancing, and drinks. There were three planned evening events (with food and entertainment), but each required an additional fee for attendance. Seemed a bit out of character considering it is an "all inclusive" resort and you could pretty much watch the entertainment from the balcony of your room. We took the Deluxe City Tour of the Los Cabos area (San Lucas and San Juan). Our guide was funny and knowledgeable, and we had a great time. My granddaughter booked the ziplining event. There was a mix-up in her pick up time was and she missed the transport. However, Expedia instantly rebooked her for the next day and all went well.

Liked being on the beach

Posted Apr 12, 2014
I loved that here was an adult pool so that I didn't have to share a pool with kids. I also loves the straw huts that you could sit under in the beach.

Good place for families

Pros: The staff was very friendly and the grounds very clean and kept up nicely. The Italian restaurant was very good. It felt very safe for familes.
Cons: The rooms are clean but old. Shower curtain was mildewed and one of the mattresses was very worn down.
Location: Nice location. Beach was beautiful but the ocean is not safe to swim in. The beach vendors were very polite and not too pushy.
Very pleasant experience. While the rooms are a bit dated (worn down mattress, new TV that doesn't fit in the space, mildewed shower curtain), it was still very nice. The hotel and grounds are very clean and staff is very friendly. There are things for kids to do - and safe that parents can let them wander a bit on their own. The buffet food was decent. The restaurants were good. Staff is very friendly. The beach is gorgeous - just not safe for swimming...to rough and a strong riptide. We did not like the strong sales push to "join Club Solaris".

Very nice family friendly hotel

Pros: On the beach resort. Breakfast was fantastic! Tons of options for food. Loved the fresh fruit and omelet.
Cons: Drinks! All the drinks had weird artificial flavor to it and watered down. Mexican food at Panchos was terrible! Very disappointed.
Great vacation! We have two girls (7, 3) and they had so much fun! We loved that the resort was right on the beach so when we got tired of playing in the pool, we made our way to the sand. The resort is very clean and all the staff members are super friendly. My girls like to snack often so they loved being able to go to the snack bar for chips, chicken nuggets, hamburgers, pizzas and more.

Good Family Trip

Posted Apr 9, 2014
Pros: Kids club and zumba
Cons: Housekeeping. Wish there was a hot tub the kids could go in.
I would say this is a decent hotel for the price. Although my kids were a little old (6 and 8) for the "water park" they did enjoy the kids club a lot. The staff at kids club is excellent and were very attentive to the kids and provided a lot of great activities. The food was average, we made a lot of trips to the snack bar for the guac and pico. Riding horses on the beach is a must. Inexpensive and fun for the kids. The 30 minute ride to the estuary is plenty for little ones. If you haven't done zumba before do it with Erik. I don't zumba but his class was really fun and some good cardio. Housekeeping was lacking. Sometimes our room didn't get cleaned until 5 in the evening and it was not cleaned very thoroughly. Pool staff was great and we had some regular waiters who we really like. There were lots of daily pool activities, some we would rather have missed but it's hard not to hear everything over the loudspeakers regardless of where you are at the pool.
