our first trip to los cabosPosted Dec 5, 2013
Overall the hotel was in good shape. buildings and grounds were well maintained and clean. rooms were just average. But that's where we spent least of your time so it didn't matter. The maid service was good. They always kept our room very clean and tidy. My only complaint was the food. My family and I are not very picky eaters but by the end of our trip I couldn't even look at the buffet. Same food prepared with different sauces. Boring!! breakfast buffet was fine but the lunch and dinner were terrible except for 2 of my 8 days there. The specialty restaurant Marco Polo was not good. But the other specialty restaurant panchos was good. Entertainment staff was fun and friendly! Some servers who stood out were Luis, Daniel, Juan at the restaurants and Alexandro at the bar. I would problably go back because it was fun for my daughters who are 5 and 7. In short you get what you pay for

So so hotelPosted Nov 30, 2013
Arrived at hotel at 2:00pm. Check-in was delayed and room was not ready at 3:00pm like advertised. Room was not available until 5:00pm. We were exhausted and even slept in the lobby. Asked if they could accommodate me in a hospitality room while room was cleaned, Laurent at front desk said no. Young fellow named Mike tried to get as much info. As possible from us for time share presentation. I was courteous and polite when I advised him I was NOT interested at all. I made it very clear that I am EXTREMELY happy with my timeshare elsewhere and I simply wanted a relaxing getaway. I asked him not to ruin my vacation this early on especially with being so tired and patience was running very thin with having to wait on a room. Finally got our room and there was a foul sewer odor in the corridors and vague odor in room. We were so tired that we didn't bother complaining in efforts to avoid having to wait for another room (again). Staff is friendly, hotel is constantly being cleaned and maintained but evening entertainment as far as lobby lounge bar is boring. After nightly themed shows end, entertainment staff heads over to lobby bar with DJ but ends at 10pm when the entertainment staff leaves. There's nothing to do at lobby or in SJD downtown. Across the street from hotel the is a rock n brews bar, a salsa dancing bar and a jazz lounge. All nice but not enough people to keep it lively. This place is better suited while on a budget n families w/small children...Got what I paid 4!

Nice hotel for families, friendly staff!Posted Nov 29, 2013
Pros: Left the best thing of Royal Solaris last-the Entertainment Team! Amazing people-talanted, beatiful, friendly, and hard working! Thank you!
Cons: I thought hard about about it and could not think about anything that Is worth mentioning.
Location: We took a trip to the Lands End. Nicely organized, not expensive at all. Spent the whole day at Cabo San Lucas and Pelican Beach.
First time in Mexico, and we were completely amazed! Very well organized, very nice and hard working people! Bravo! Food: I ate a lot better so called mexican food in San Diego, but that is not problem at all. There is always something to pick and choose, we appreciated the convinience and good service. Everybody worked together as well oiled machine, doing multiple responsibilities, and trying to please you-from the cleaning staff , waiters, cooks, bartenders, waiters. Thank you! Tip or not you all did very noce job! Facilities: Paid a little bit extra and got room with amazing ocean view! Enjoyed beatiful sunsets, sunny mornings. Very nice size room, acceptable beds, clean rooms. After all how much time do you really spend in a room. The cleaning lady made sure every day to arrange something funny with the towels and our kids loved it! Beach and pool: Beach is not swimmable, but it was good enough to enjoy it. Beach vendors were not pushing hard nad they did not annoy us at all. Pool is nice. Ther is a pool for everybody, clean and good temperature. Kids zone and kids club was very nice to have to entertain the kids in addition fo many many other activities.

Cons: Staff, Service, Food, Rooms
We had an OK time on the first day of our stay here. We had already read all the reviews and came with low expectations. The rooms were fine. They had the basic amenities. The location is nice. Pool is great. The food was subpar, to say the least. Breakfast is OK. Lunch was rarely good and dinner is OK if you eat at one of the restaurants. Second day of our stay they started remodeling the rooms next to ours and the entire floored reeked of wood lacquer, paints and we had a cloud of fumes in our room. We had to sleep with our doors open that night because they had no other rooms available at that time. We complained the following day, once again, and they assured us that the workers would stop. We went down to the pool for a few hours while our room aired out we returned to more fumes and more painting and staining in the rooms next to ours. We could not breathe in our room and were finally relocated to another room on the opposite side of the hotel after several complaints and discussions with the front office staff, who were not very honest or friendly. Once we unpacked everything into our new room we realized the air conditioning was not working, but at least we could breathe. We love visiting Cabo but will never, never return to this hotel. Good luck to you if you decide to stay there.

We had the most wonderful experience at this hotelPosted Nov 16, 2013
Pros: Friendly people, clean, lovely pool area.....
Cons: I can't think of a thing right now. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Location: Right on the beach if you want to go there. We stayed by the pool. It wasn't too hot and the staff was always friendly and made us feel "special."
The staff was excellent, the food was good (all buffet) and we met the most wonderful young lady who took care of all of our needs. We will go back as soon as we can! Hi Maria and Miguel!

Not what we were expecting!Posted Nov 13, 2013
We felt deceived after reading the reviews & viewing pictures of this resort, it's not what we were expecting! We felt pressured in participating in the time-share presentation from when we stepped into the lobby, which we kindly declined & we're asked "why not?!" The rooms had poor lighting & only dbl beds, not the queens we had booked. The kids area (which is what drew us in) was poorly maintained & only opened the tobaggan slide for 3 short intervals during the day. The buffet is what made our decision in leaving final. After seeing the food uncovered & not knowing how long it had been sitting there, we left. This resort wasn't a match for our family but perhaps would be much better suited for young party-goers, or for people with not high standards of cleanliness! Lesson learned... You get what you pay for!!

Lovely location adjacent to beachPosted Nov 8, 2013
Cons: Food quality
The hotel was in anlovely location adjacent to the beach. Large luxurious pool. No heated spa however. Staff and entertainment was first rate. Food was largely buffets. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Others good but not great.
