Grounds were clean. Food wasn't that great and the liquor couldn't have been watered down anymore. Even the hand soap in the dispensers was watered down. Won't go back

Great resort and great price

Pros: Staff was very friendly and helpful through out our visit.
Cons: Have at least one non-reservation restaurant available for dinner.
Location: Right across the street are several restaurants and coffee shop and within a 20 minute walk you can be in the town square and arts district.
We spent 7 nights at the Royal Solaris and enjoyed our stay tremendously. The location was ideal and within a 20 minute walk to the town square and arts district. Upon arrival, they invited us to sit and learn more about the resort which only took about 20 minutes of our time. They also invited us to sit in on a presentation about becoming a member but we declined and they did not push us into it as many resorts do. I was amazed at how clean the facilities were and they always seem to be cleaning night and day. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great deal and a great location. We liked staying in San Jose away from the hustle and bustle of San Lucas but within a short 30 minute bus ride we were having lunch on the Marina in San Lucas. We are already planning our next trip. Thank you for a memorable vacation.

Best of both worlds

The resort was great!! An employee named Vicente helped us make arrangements for taxis, dinners in the resort property, and excursions. He was a major help! There are only a few restaurants open for dinner and you have to make reservations each day for them. The pools were awesome and they looked over the beach. The resort is about 30 minutes from the city and about $40 dollars. It's a great all inclusive, but you are stuck there too. The area is sketchy.

Great place for kids, sun, beach and beverages

Pros: My children loved the kids pool
Location: close to the village
Awesome place, Awesome staff, great food and great kids pool (kids club). I also was able to take dive lessons in the only hotel (the hotel has an awesome dive master on site) with a diving pool in San Jose del cabo after pool lessons I booked a trip (through the hotel) to Cabo san lucas to dive the reefs. We also had a birthday party in our suite which they made a special birthday cake and balloons for my child.

Good hotel, not beach friendky

The hotel is nice , clean but the beach is not swim able , the buffet food was good just very little choices from day to day . I would call it institutional food , things like ribs, steak, roast were never on the buffet . There version of seafood buffet was over cooked and like rubber.

DO NOT COME HERE!!

Pros: NOTHING
I don't even know where to begin.... Not only was the food horrible but we had such a small selection to choose from on the "all-inclusive" menu. Everything was cold and tasted old, even the drinks were gross. They barely had activities, all the fun stuff was like 45minutes away (like the mall, and bars/restaurants/clubs)even the beach sucked!! YOU CANT EVEN GO IN THE WATER!! I'm extremely upset that the description says "free wifi in the lobby" because it was only free from 11am-2pm and ONLY ON WEDNESDAYS!! what a joke!! If you want wifi they ask that you pay $15 a day; ridiculous. p.s. if you're coming to party and see the town DO NOT COME HERE! This place is more for the elderly and their grandchildren; go to Cabo San Lucas instead...Stay away from San Jose. I made the best of my trip by exploring many towns.

Hotel, smelled really bad! Staff was not friendly

Check in was horrible. Staff seemed over worked and tired! Were not willing to help or answer any questions.

Money worth spent!

Nice place to relax and get away from the daily hectic schedules. The staff is very helpful and make sure the guests have a good time in their resort. Special applause for the 'entertainment staff'. Thy are the "all rounders"... Hats off to them for the kinds effort they put in to entertain the guests on a daily basis... NON STOP. Overall highly recommended.

Very nice hotel right on the beach

I stayed 3 night there my experience there was awesome.royal Solaris had a lot of activities and shows.The food has room for improvement.hotel is located in between cabo San Lucas and airport.
