Good hotel, not beach friendky

The hotel is nice , clean but the beach is not swim able , the buffet food was good just very little choices from day to day . I would call it institutional food , things like ribs, steak, roast were never on the buffet . There version of seafood buffet was over cooked and like rubber.

DO NOT COME HERE!!

Pros: NOTHING
I don't even know where to begin.... Not only was the food horrible but we had such a small selection to choose from on the "all-inclusive" menu. Everything was cold and tasted old, even the drinks were gross. They barely had activities, all the fun stuff was like 45minutes away (like the mall, and bars/restaurants/clubs)even the beach sucked!! YOU CANT EVEN GO IN THE WATER!! I'm extremely upset that the description says "free wifi in the lobby" because it was only free from 11am-2pm and ONLY ON WEDNESDAYS!! what a joke!! If you want wifi they ask that you pay $15 a day; ridiculous. p.s. if you're coming to party and see the town DO NOT COME HERE! This place is more for the elderly and their grandchildren; go to Cabo San Lucas instead...Stay away from San Jose. I made the best of my trip by exploring many towns.

Hotel, smelled really bad! Staff was not friendly

Check in was horrible. Staff seemed over worked and tired! Were not willing to help or answer any questions.

Money worth spent!

Nice place to relax and get away from the daily hectic schedules. The staff is very helpful and make sure the guests have a good time in their resort. Special applause for the 'entertainment staff'. Thy are the "all rounders"... Hats off to them for the kinds effort they put in to entertain the guests on a daily basis... NON STOP. Overall highly recommended.

Very nice hotel right on the beach

I stayed 3 night there my experience there was awesome.royal Solaris had a lot of activities and shows.The food has room for improvement.hotel is located in between cabo San Lucas and airport.

All Inclusive

Pros: Service, all-inclusive, relaxing
Cons: Beds were very hard, dinner buffet was not as advertised.
Location: Not safe to go into the ocean. Can not see waves from complex. Nothing to do nearby except expensive excursions. You can take a walk to the estuary.
Wonderful All-Inclusive. Breakfast and lunch were delicious and the on-site restaurants were wonderful. The dinner buffets were disappointing. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Drinks plentiful. Adult pool area was nice but you could still hear the annoying and constant announcer from the main pool. Not very crowded. Weather perfect. Club sales pitch was 2 1/2 hrs NOT 90 min. Started out nice but by the end we were so confused with different "deals" and the closers were so rude that we did not buy into the "Club". Met a lot of wonderful people. Would go back again.

Overall very good, great beach but too dangerous to swim, the staff was excellent, the evening shows were terrific, the food in general was just ok but the pizza hut, the fresh taco stand and other features made it more enjoyable. Great for kids, and the local buses took us everywhere without hassle. $3 for the bus to downtown Cabo and nice first class bus.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The staff was so nice! We had a family emergency and a staff member let us use his cell phone to call home!

Pretty hotel with beautiful grounds

Pros: Hotel was beautiful! Property was amazing. Rooms clean & comfy. Staff was friendly. Pools were so awesome.
Cons: Ok, first with this hotel, stop with the timeshare stuff. We will not stay here again because of it. Food could be greatly improved as well as drinks.
Location: Nothing to do really in San Lucas.
First time to Mexico and we chose this resort. It is about 15 miles from cabo San Lucas. Cab fare is not cheap if you want to go to Cabo San Lucas for the day or take a city bus for a lot cheaper. Be prepared to be constantly asked to buy things from vendors, just have to say no & keep walking. With that being said, it was very fun and would go back again. We actually would not stay at this hotel again though. Reason why when we first arrived we were bombarded with the timeshare stuff. It was really annoying especially when we just wanted to get to our room & relax. everyday we felt like we had to hide so we wouldn't get seen by one of them & trapped into one of their speeches. Also, the food wasn't that great, very bland to me. My husband thought it was good, but to me not so at all. And for all inclusive, the drinks they pour are in tiny little glasses & if it's a mixed drink you can't even tell there is alcohol in it. We will stay in Cabo San Lucas next time, more action & fun to be had there. This resort is best if you're bringing children and want a more low key vacation. And trust me, there were a lot of kids people took here, which I don't understand why anyone would bring children to Mexico. Anyhow it is a fun place but just be prepared for the constant "harassment" I'll call it about timeshares, buying stuff from vendors, even in Cabo San Lucas it is there too.

Great on a budget

This hotel is what you would expect for the price. I'd go again. My tip is don't stay for more than 4 or 5 days. You'll get sick of the food after 3 and the beds/pillows are pretty darn bad so you won't be sleeping great. But you'll be having so much fun on the beach and exploring town that 3 days aren't enough. That's why I say stay 4 or 5.
