Maui Honeymoon for gay couple.Posted Jul 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
All in all we had an excellent stay at the Maui Sunseeker. Located in a quiet, less touristy part of Maui, makes it an ideal romantic getaway for a recently married gay couple like ourselves. There is no breakfast provided, but that palls in comparison to the lovely amenities you do have in your room. The staff were extremely helpful in providing us with great information about where the hot spots were for gay friendly beaches (go to Little Beach), bars (specifically Ambrosia, gay night on Sunday, all day happy hour) and restaurants (we ate at Fat Daddy's BBQ, right next door to Ambrosia, great food, drink and music playing in background). You are less than 20 minutes from the airport and other convenient places. We will come back here for sure!

Maui Wowwie!Posted Jun 18, 2014
This place was way better than the $3000 a week resort I stayed at last month on my first trip to Maui! Why? THE PEOPLE, silly.

A gem.Posted Apr 28, 2014
Pros: All it's little conveniences. They provided little coolers, umbrellas, ice, SPF cream and even extra flip-flops for our day trip to Little Beach.
Cons: Can't think of any..
Location: If you're planning on seeing the whole island you can't beat the central location.
Fantastic service, great location. Will stay here again.

Definitely improving and expanding the resort.Posted Feb 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very clean and the grounds were very nicely landscaped. We stayed in the 100 building which, is the original hotel. The rooms were a little dated, but was clean. Staff was friendly.

Aloha spirit lives here!Posted Feb 11, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our room was great, reasonably clean and comfortable. We asked for different pillows for the king sized be we had and they provided them no problem. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Minor point: it would be nice if office was open later than 5pm. All the other guests seemed very contented--as were we!

Highly recommendedPosted Jan 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
Had a wonderful stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. Beautiful gardens and landscaping. Nice deck and hot tub. Room was fine, although it could use a bit of a face lift and the bed was a just too soft. Love that they have beach supplies (snorkels/fins, umbrellas, etc.) for use on a first-come-first-serve basis. I'd definitely recommend it.

Great hotel for fellow LGBT.Posted Oct 7, 2013
Cons: Everything was great except for the AC. The room would get hot at night and it made it hard to sleep (I'm from SF where temperature drops 50-60 degree
Location: It's located south-west of Maui. You have several beaches to go to but the main beach i'd recommend for anyone in the area is Big beach!
I stayed here for 6 nights and couldn't be happier with the hotel. Please keep in mind that this is an LGBT hotel meaning it's gay-friendly. It might not be suitable for families with kids. It's close to the beach and they have snorkeling gear, ice coolers, ICE, that you can use for the day for free. The staff was awesome. Incredibly friendly. I'd definitely book this hotel again when i re-visit maui!

Friendly StaffPosted Sep 1, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff. Clothing-optional pool.
Cons: Flat surfaces to roll luggage to rooms.
Location: The beach is across the street. Beautiful sunsets! The staff can recommend and book activities.
The staff was friendly from the front desk to maintenance. They remembered my name and made me feel at home. I enjoyed the pool, though I wish it were big enough to do decent laps. The pool and tub are down a winding path, and are away from prying eyes. It took me a bit of hunting to find the pool area entrance. The landscaping is a work in progress, but what is already done is beautiful. The view from my room (112) is wonderful. And you can see even more from the rooftop deck. I would like to have had an actual flat surface to roll my luggage from the parking lot into the room - going over grass was difficult. I was comfortable in the room, and I would love to stay again.
